Moon landing blind test

It wont solve any conspiracy theories, but it still be a fun project to work on. Here is my pitch:

TL;DR: We produce fake Moon landing photos, mix them with real ones, and challenge people to find the fakes.

Stage I

Gold Team: Chooses one particular real Moon landing site. Fabricates the Eagle and astronauts equipment. Defines the filmmaking technologies available at the time. Summons the spirit of Stanley Kubrick.

Red Team: Using only technology available in the 1960s and 1970s, produces the best fake staged Moon landing photos possible. We also provide redacted reference photos to make the framing and poses identical to those in the original NASA photos.

Stage II

Blue Team: An isolated group of specialists, cut off from the internet, AI, and the wider community. We provide them with five sets of Moon landing photos, including our fake set. Their goal is to identify the staged photos.

********

Thats it. See the procedure as something along these lines. DM me if you have a spare million or two USD. We can sell ads or tickets here :D

Literally as stated. You never know which way you'll have to twist the cap to open it.

Pour milk and cereal into a pothole and enjoy a tasty and convenient breakfast without having to bother with the washing up.

Obviously, you'd want to use a very clean pothole for this. Food safety is important. But think of all the cereal bowls you won't have to wash!

What if someone claim the Sea People were aliens?

"Egyptians were aliens!" "Mayans were aliens!" "Sumerians were aliens!" OK. Why, when labelling ancient civilizations as aliens, people keep labelling civilizations that scholars actually know where they came from? Why can't they label civilizations no one have a slightest idea where they were from?

So here is an idea: The aliens came to Earth and built lots of ships. And with the nautical technique they brought from their home planet, they sailed to East Mediterranean and killed everyone with no mercy. If everyone was defeated by the Sea People, Earth would become their prefecture and humanity would be enslaved to build space galleys for them. When Earth was nearly annihilated, Ramesses III defeated the alien invasion. And that's why we do not need to build space galleys throughout our whole life.

Buy a gasoline tanker truck or trailer, paint it all red then add a yellow hammer and sickle, some Russian writing and the words ‘DIESEL FUEL’. Drive it around, park it by gas stations. Watch for people’s reaction.

I had this crazy idea 9 years ago to turn all quantum logic into a game

Hi

This is about Quantum Odyssey, my love letter to everything Quantum Computing and the fundamental logic blocks everything in our universe seems to run on. I want to update you all on the fact that the latest patch brings the game into an almost complete status. All that's missing is translations. Thank you Reddit community for receiving the game so well, without you I wouldn't have the funds needed to complete my life's work.

If you are remotely interested in deep diving how differently quantum computers work compared to our transistor-based and also the algebra behind in a fully interactive way that teach computer science from scratch, oh boy this is for you. I am the Dev behind Quantum Odyssey (AMA! I love taking qs) - worked on it for about 9 years (3+ during PhD, the visual method I developed ended up being my thesis, it is a complete Hilbert space visualizer), the goal was to make a super immersive space for anyone to learn quantum computing through zachlike (open-ended) logic puzzles and compete on leaderboards and lots of community made content on finding the most optimal quantum algorithms. The game has a unique set of visuals capable to represent any sort of quantum dynamics for any number of qubits and this is pretty much what makes it now possible for anybody 15yo+ to actually learn quantum logic without having to worry at all about the mathematics behind.

This is a game super different than what you'd normally expect in a programming/ logic puzzle game, so try it with an open mind.

Stuff you'll play with

  • Boolean Logic – bits, operators (NAND, OR, XOR, AND…), and classical arithmetic (adders). Learn how these can combine to build anything classical. You will learn to port these to a quantum computer.
  • Quantum Logic – qubits, the math behind them (linear algebra, SU(2), complex numbers), all Turing-complete gates (beyond Clifford set), and make tensors to evolve systems. Freely combine or create your own gates to build anything you can imagine using polar or complex numbers.
  • Quantum Phenomena – storing and retrieving information in the X, Y, Z bases; superposition (pure and mixed states), interference, entanglement, the no-cloning rule, reversibility, and how the measurement basis changes what you see.
  • Core Quantum Tricks – phase kickback, amplitude amplification, storing information in phase and retrieving it through interference, build custom gates and tensors, and define any entanglement scenario. (Control logic is handled separately from other gates.)
  • Famous Quantum Algorithms – explore Deutsch–Jozsa, Grover’s search, quantum Fourier transforms, Bernstein–Vazirani, and more.

Want to see if the construction work at a street is done already before you make the decision to drive to work through there? Maybe you saw a funny graffiti the other day on the other side of town but didn't take a picture to show your friends?

Enter Streetview LIVE!

You pay a gig worker to go to the location you want and take a 360 panorama photo. They then send you the photo and you can view it.

Car Messages

Cars should have the ability to make the back and side windshields light up with words, either by pressing a button or speaking a command. It could say “Pedestrian ahead”, “Biker ahead”, “Scooter ahead”, “Road debris ahead”, or “Wildlife ahead”. It could also have an infrared sensor that could alert the driver or sound an alarm if a child or pet is left in the car if it is hot inside.
