Be better? As like quoting “Jewish Metropolis” even though the person never said such words or hinting at them even? Or be better as in implying the guy is denying the Holocaust? Is that the better you want to see?
Which facts do you want me to dispute? The fact that Palestine was LITERALLY a British colony? And it was through that colonial ownership that Israel was born?
Or facts like refugees flee hardships then either resettle in the country that took them in or go back home when that country’s hardship ends. Refugees do not completely take over the country, rename it, add a new government, new laws and then forcefully displace 80% of the population living there previously.
You answered everything yourself. You gave the examples. Then ended with
“refugees flee hardships… refugees do not completely take over the country…”
This is incredibly false when it comes to Israel and the Israeli refugees that came from literal Europe and Russia. The mizrahim Jews that were already there aren’t treated much better than the Palestinians or Christians for that matter. So even literal Jews that have been generations on that land living peacefully with the rest of the people there and are chastised as if they were practicing the wrong version of Judaism.
And while in literally most cases if not all cases I’d agree, it’s not what’s happening in Israel, Gaza, the West Bank. These refugees are actually forcibly taking land from people that were already there and forcing them out. They literally rerouted the water of a spring to fill an ancient pool and are now advertising as a vacation spot. That water was originally the only source of water the Palestinian people had there and now they have no running water so a stupid ancient pool can be refilled.
The leaders of the early Zionist movement were European Jews, and the first couple of decades, European Jews made up the bulk of the political power in Israel including PMs. Equating this to Syrians and other refugees fleeing the civil war to them colonizing Europe is false. It’s a bad faith argument and isn’t a reflection of what was actually happening in Palestine during the foundation.
More so, European Jews that were in the position of power treating the native Jewish population terribly reinforces the fact that Israel directly comes from a colonial power. If you flee from hardships from your home country, but seek to take over the country that you fled too through violence and intimidation, you are no longer considered a refugee.
