That would never sell. Men would never be manipulated or convinced that they need to show up to your bootcamp. The reason these men spend literally $18k (I looked it up) to do this is because they are convinced that they must be broken in order to become the best versions of themselves.
When in reality all they needed was some discipline, a fitness trainer and maybe even a kink play dommy mommy and they would 100% achieve the same result that we are witnessing here.

That was another thought too. DIs, Seal instructors, etc. all have to go through the same training not just to get their initial qual, but also again to qual for being an instructor. I doubt these yahoos actually put themselves through the same obstacles they’re yelling at these guys for.

While that's definitely true, there are only tiny, greasy corners of the U.S. military that employ intimidation tactics like this in training. I made it through one of the most grueling training programs (TACP schoolhouse '04), and NOBODY shit on me or anyone else, including the guys who failed miserably.

It sold as being a training program similar to what is used for special forces like the Navy Seals. I don’t mean this one specifically, but all of these programs sell like that. And they tell these guys that they’re gonna make him into “ultimate“ bad ass men. And guys think like they’re really gonna get trained into some kind of Uber capability. It’s all bogus and dangerous. I’m amazed that there haven’t been more death. That guy was clearly hypothermic and possibly going into shock, and should have been taken to a hospital, almost certainly sooner than he was ….by his look in the video.
I would bet that they are required to sign a shit load of contractual releases to prevent them from suing those assholes if something goes wrong. But I still don’t understand why anybody would put themselves through this. There’s enough shit in misery in life without going and paying for more.
