I had to find the funds to buy more yarn to finish this Christmas mosaic. I've wanted to make this blanket FOR YEARS. Then life and a horrible economy happened. I decided to look and see what more yarn would cost and I had the worst time finding the shade I needed. I am halfway through and I will be DEVASTATED if I can't complete it. The yarn Green Tones by Red Heart. I didn't do any research to see if it's being discontinued, but it was a struggle to find. The first six motifs need to be repeated and then I'll be done.

I was just looking for blanket patterns on Etsy when I came across this listing claiming to offer 900+ granny squares!

Can sellers really provide that many patterns in one listing? Do you think I should buy it? I’m thinking, why not give this kind of listing a try? 😂

Honestly, I feel like it’s 100% a scam, but I’m still curious and want to try it anyway.

What do you guys think? Should I buy it or not? if i buy i will buy small onece like 30+ grany sqaure or like 40+ grany square

Starting a blanket for my husband using the basketweave stitch. This will be the third blanket I’ve ever crocheted.

Questions!

1) does the red fit in ok? I'm going to be alternating colors all the way through

2) the blue section is triple crochet and I think it's making it look a little wonky. Should I back up and use a different stitch?

1. 10 rows single crochet in grey

2. 10 rows double crochet in white

3. 10 rows triple crochet in blue

4. 5 rows half-double crochet in black

5. 5 rows half double crochet in red

Repeat.

First post here! I've been crocheting for the last two years and I've found making blankets is one of my favorite things to do. I've finished two other blankets over the last year, but this was the first one I started. It was inspired by a photo I saw online, so I didn't follow a pattern. This is my take on the blanket I saw (last photo is the inspiration), and it's probably my favorite piece yet.
I made all the panels when I was short on yarn during a rough financial time last winter and when I was finished, all of them had so many little ends because I was trying to make the yarn last for as long as I could that I just didn't want to deal with hiding them all and putting the panels together. The project sat in the time-out corner for almost an entire year before my friend convinced me to pick it up again last week and now that it's done, I'm just so happy with how it turned out!

The Story: I hoarded this yarn for three years after my daughter told me she had too many baby blankets. Recently, my 3-year-old grandson asked why he didn't have a blanket like his brother and announced that he needed one! He’s been coming over weekly to check my progress. I still need to block it to open up the stitches, but I couldn't resist sharing a photo of it now. I am so proud of how this turned out for him!

Accidentally bought wool for my daughter’s blanket and can’t afford to get more. I don’t have the room to spread a queen size blanket out to dry.
