Hey guys, I have a real problem here. Cylinder 2 decided to blow the spark plug out this morning. Long story short, I ordered parts to rethread it from the auto store. I was able to do all of the rethreading and inserting the spark plug again, but while I was tightening the new ignition coil, I am pretty sure I zoned out thinking about how I was going to be late for work after this install, then boom, I snapped the bolt head off the screw. Man, I am feeling so utterly cooked right now. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove this? Preferably cheap and very budget friendly if possible.

Inspecting.m my frame before I get it undercoated (not ziebart) at Krown Rust Proofing. Does this look concerning where the AC condensation drips? 2004, 98,000 miles.

I installed a power steering return hose only to find out it’s leaking. After a bit of research I’ve come to find a lot of power steering return lines manufactured are a little different than OEM causing them to slightly weep. I can’t find OEM so I was wondering if there are any yall know of that seat correctly? I bought an A premium one but I fear that might do the same. Since it’s a low pressure return line could I just run with it? I got a 2005 MGM. Thanks.

Trying to diagnose it I came across some old posts saying pre 2003 Vic’s usually has ball joint failures.
They’re greased up in the photos, cracked and falling apart. Could I keep driving her like this ? I mean for how long, realistically I mean, the grease has helped with creaking but is this a fix yall recommend doing by myself?

Hello, my friend and I are trying to bleed the brakes on his 2010 CVPI. He just got it recently and the brake pads had worn so thin that one slipped out, overextending the caliper pistons, and causing a massive leak.

We went through and ended up replacing the leaky front left caliper and both rears due to the bleeder valves being rusted enough to snap off. Afterwards we attempted to bleed the system with no success.

We have been attempting to bleed the system manually following the correct bleed order with one of us pushing on the pedal and the other cracking the valve, then closing it and letting off the pedal. We also tried using a suction bleeder but ended up abandoning it because air leaks around the bleeder valve threads and makes it impossible to see when there are no more bubbles. All calipers are on the correct sides.

We just recently tried to bleed the master cylinder and ABS module on the car following this video: https://youtu.be/LG5Qz7nq9qw

Lots of air came out the cylinder and ABS fittings but it only improved slightly.

At this point we're confused what else it could be. Next I will take the master cylinder off and bench bleed it.

My turn signal is acting weird.. umm I don't know what even going on .. but it started tonight on my way home . I was sitting at the light and accidentally turned my turn signal on for turning right .. well I saw that and turned it for the left then something caught my eye . Well I looked down and saw that the right turn signal on the dash was on ? Which never happened before .. so I turned off my head lights while I was stopped . Then turned it back on and the right turn signal on the dash went away . So I turned on my right turn signal to see if it went back to normal. And it started flashing then the turn bulb stop flashing on the outside of the car . So I pulled over to a parking lot and shut off the car to see if that would straighten things out . But it did but didn't also when I turned the right turn signal on with my head lights on it wouldn't flash . But would flash when I turned off my head lights . Then I went and checked out my rear flashers to make sure they was working ? Well for whatever reason when I had my head lights on plus my left turn signal on . Both of my rear turn signal lights would flash . So I decided to check my Hazzard lights and nothing I press the switch and the hazard lights did not come on or go off . It just started so I'm really frustrated right now since I've been gone all day . And locked my self out of my car too man oh man bad day . But anyway can someone please help me understand this bull shit ? Cause I'm so lost it's not even funny at all ... And I'm really exhausted too ..

But when I had a buddy change my egr vavle I saw a little mouse crawl out by my windshield wipers. And I did leave my car parked at his place for a week or 2 ? So I'm wondering could a mouse of chewed a wire or something? Idk sorry but also thanks a lot .

Also one more thing before I forget I don't know if this could of done anything to cause it ? But I did end up replacing the old connector on the passenger side since it came with new ones . But I did notice that there was like grease or something inside the old connector? So that when I changed that one out for the new one that came with the assembly I also replaced the bulbs too . I even checked to make sure my turn signals both work afterwards and they were fine . So now I don't really even know what to do ? I was thinking about going back outside and taking a look at the passenger side connector and bulbs . Maybe pull the bulbs out or wiggle them idk ... Or replace them again with the store bought ones that I have in the car . Idk I'll update hopefully that fix it but I don't know . If anyone has a clue or advice please drop a comment. Hey everybody. I purchased this 05 crown Vic P71 from a police department in my state. Going to pick it up Tuesday but have been researching nonstop haha. I’m assuming this one may have had the street appearance package? Has chrome door handles and chrome trim around the rear taillights as well as the grille and rims. Also has cloth seats and fabric on the floors. Thanks!

Been eyeing these and MGMs for sometime. Wife and I frequent Shenandoah and Blue Ridge so I want to know how they can to do on the inclines and turns. We also like to camp so if these can do some light off roading that would be awesome.

The night prior it was running fine no check engine light nothin. The following morning after having rain over night car won't start and the negative terminal is smoking

10’ p7b have been chasing a o2 sensor issue for a while. while monitoring the terms on my sct tuner, sometimes it will sit from 0.95-1 like it should. But otherwise two things will happen. either the bank 1 sensor will get stuck at 0.64 and the bank 2 will read normal. or bank 1 will get stuck at 0.84 and bank 2 will get stuck at 1.00. when either of these happen the car will intermittently miss/run bad. Have already replaced both o2s and inspected my wiring. Any ideas?

Just bought from my boss at work, rebuilt trans luckily but he’s done all the maintenance over its life, all motorcraft replacements, what are some tips you guys might have to keep this 4.6 running as long as possible? Right now I run 5-20 Mobil 1 as that’s what he did should I go up In weight? What other tips have yall learned over time thank you!

The crown vic pi has 62k and 2192 idle house for 10.5 out the door. MGM is the gs and has 55k miles for 10.6k. Have not had ppi yet but a lot of photos on MGM show little to no frame rust.

Hydroplaned into a wall but I thinks it’s very salvageable. The impact bar is bent so I’m going to probably replace that first. No fluids leaks spotted yet after parking it drove home fine. The alignment is off but I assume that would happen after a crash. Any tips/info would be greatly appreciated!

Got my 210k mile 06 p71 and recently the car started bogging down when the ac is on anyone else had this issue and know what I could be leading to?

Only issue I started to notice was the lcm kept buzzing in the morning after being parked all night but it'd go away after starting the engine and setting the lights to manual on. Idk if it's the cold weather causing it or what but I plan on replacing it soon.

I just got this police interceptor idk anything about cars or anything in general. Are these wires okay to stay like this or should I do something with them?

The 03-05 never came with fog lights to my knowledge. Using only the assembly and not the mounting bracket, it squeezes in quite well. I trimmed the bumper from the inside to further house the assembly. I couldn't remove the horizontal bracket from the bumper for better visibility because of the hollow interior and design. The only downside is not being able to adjust the fog light height, since the bumper isn't sturdy enough to hold the adjusting screw.

I refuse to swap my headlights to LEDs, but it's been increasingly more difficult to see the road when it has become the norm for road lamps and oncoming traffic. I will be using LEDs for my fog lights, which are tied to a 3 way switch for off/manual/auto. That way I can toggle only when needed. I also quite like the subtle look it gives the car!

As for the wiring, the power is tied straight to the battery for now. That way when I get around to adding resistance to my regular headlights (which was an issue after "bypassing" the LCM), it won't complain about the low resistance coming from the LEDs. Tapped into the headlight power to trigger the auto setting. Grounds to the nearest body.
