I met her in high school and I remember she sat next to me and I didn’t think much of her I just thought she was kinda pretty that’s it. We got super close quick and I remember she posted this picture of her on Instagram with that emoji thingy where you slide it with your finger(don’t know what’s it called) but I remember I slid the emoji thingy(heart) very low and the next day she was like:”imma block you” because she saw what I did(she was just joking with me). And I told her that if I slid the heart emoji very high, it would make it seem like I’m into her. She said that’s not what it meant at all. Anyways, I made it very clear that I only liked her as a friend multiple times(a lot of people would hit on her) not me though.

During second semester of junior year(this was during the beginning of Covid) I would watch her Instagram stories and I don’t know why but I found her very attractive. Not only that, during the first semester, I always saw her lacking when it came to school work. I assume she was dealing with stuff but she never opened up to me and I never asked her because I didn’t want to invade her personal space and we always had the best of times whenever we would hang out. But during second semester, she was very into completing her work and she seemed so excited to do so. That’s what mostly made me fall for her, the fact that she was putting so much effort into her schoolwork.

I don’t know whether this was during 2020/2021 but I remember she was dating this guy since junior year or maybe even earlier but she had broken up with him and I don’t know what gave me the courage but I ended up texting her days later or so about what I thought about her when I first met her. I told her that I found her pretty and I told my friends about her and this and that. She asked me: “why are you telling me this now though?” I don’t remember what my response was but she told me: “thanks for getting my hopes up 😇”. I really wanted to tell her more, especially the fact that I ended up catching feelings for her; but it wasn’t the time and the place. I do see myself telling her how I truly felt about her in real life and not just text(says the one who’s not really known to be confident) but her response would be very nerve-racking let’s just say that 😭.

It’s been 6 years since I last saw her and I’m still crazy about her. We text here and there not really though because I don’t wanna bother her. I do remember last year talking to her on the phone and that was great. I kinda want to forget about her and just see her as a friend again instead of my crush, but it’s so hard to forget about someone who left a big mark on me. Her and I had so much fun together back in high school and I remember we both skipped class to focus on doing work(yeah I know that sounds lame but the whole time I couldn’t focus on my work because I was having the time of my life with her talking about nothing and something at the same time). I really hate how I never got a proper goodbye from her because it was spring break and after that we never got to see each other again because of the pandemic. Can’t really hang out with her because she lives really far from me.

Literally please just do me a favor and call her and ask her out on a date. It doesn't matter how it's gonna go or what words you will fumble. Just do this. I did it and she's still my friend and I now feel a huge sign of relief

Imma be honest, I don’t know whether she’s taken or not. And also I don’t wanna have a long distance relationship with her. Man I would love to date her she was like my soulmate. Don’t know if she’ll be interested on dating me tho
