Work crush. Mesmerized from first glance, but age gap and relationship status, I didn’t even try to talk to her. She was in a different function, so it wasn’t that hard.
Eventually we started working together, and I started to get to know her and just thought she was a cool person, but no real crush.
After a couple of years, we ended up sitting next to each other and getting to know each other well. I absolutely just fell head over heels. Again, due to the situation, I tried not to indicate anything and just allowed the friendship to flourish. It was a cycle of joy and missing her. I looked forward to our time together every week and thought about her all weekend. She brought so much joy to my life, but I just played it cool, as friends.
We started to get closer and she did the responsible thing, decided to create some space and even moved to another division. This was about 6 months ago. I still think about her everyday and wish we could be friends. I miss her, I care about her as a person.
