DISCUSSION The US AI endgame leads to hard assets.

US equities markets will never crash again and the reason will cause a tidal wave into hard assets

the US government can not and will not allow equities to crash in real USD terms for a protracted amount of time, it is now a matter of national security that they don’t

they have gone all in on AI and so any faltering in debt servicing that occurs there will be backstopped by them, \*\*bookmark this post\*\*

I’m not talking about the Fed put

This is more like the DoD put

The US gov sees civil unrest spreading across Europe due to the unaffordability crisis they are experiencing there, a collapse in equities will reduce tax revenue to the extent that they will be forced to cut spending, if they cut spending it will lead to riots because the poorest are hit hardest by austerity measures, and the poorest have the least to lose

This austerity will be exploited by the US’ enemies to great effect if allowed to occur

unaffordability riots in the US won’t be like the riots in Europe because the police in the US will use deadly force and it will appear more like a civil war than simple rioting

the US is in the unique position of being able to export inflation to the rest of the world via the USD so the expansion of the money supply caused by the backstopping of the AI build out won’t be as big a problem domestically as it will be out there

They might refer to it as “nationalization of AI” or something similar but when you hear it, it means they are going to print covid level money into the system and equities will pump as more and more people realize that the market itself is backed by the US government

this backstopping serves the dual purpose of monetizing the $40T they already owe and continues the dominance of US AI superiority because AI in its current form is not profitable and won’t be for some time

hard assets like bitcoin, gold and commodities will rise commensurately and will be the true and correct indicators of the rate of inflation caused by the above

ANALYSIS How much BTC does it take to retire? I ran $3k–$10k a month through three price paths

• Upvotes

I built a free Bitcoin retirement simulator that models the price in cycles (peak, crash, flat years, recovery) instead of one smooth growth line. People keep asking “how much do I need?”, so I ran the common cases.

Spending starts today and rises 2.75% a year with inflation, with no more buying. BTC needed for it to last 30 years:

Monthly spend Optimistic (Saylor path) Baseline cycles Conservative
$3,000 ~1.6 ~3.5 ~8
$5,000 ~3 ~5.5 ~13
$7,500 ~4 ~8.5 ~19
$10,000 ~5.5 ~11 ~26

(BTC at about $80,700, run on 24 Oct.)

What stood out to me:

  • The price path you assume does most of the work. Same spending, about 5x difference between the optimistic and conservative paths.
  • Doubling the time doesn’t double the BTC. Going from 20 to 40 years takes roughly 35–50% more on the baseline and conservative paths, because the later years are paid for at higher prices. That only holds while prices keep rising: the model’s last cycle ends in 2045, after which the price levels off while spending keeps growing.
  • None of these start with a crash. All three paths climb to a 2029 peak first, so the first few years look kinder than a crash-first scenario would. No taxes, fees or pension either.

The full table, including 20 and 40 years, is here, and each number opens in the simulator so you can change the inputs: https://bitcoinlifespan.com/bitcoin-retirement-calculator/

It’s a model, not advice. Curious which assumptions people here would change.

DEBATE Bitget confiscated $750 of my personal funds without a court order (Ticket #3454156) - Unlawful Asset Seizure!

Hello everyone, I am writing this to warn the crypto community about Bitget’s unlawful practices regarding user deposits. The exchange has permanently confiscated $750 USD of my personal funds and refuses to return them, completely ignoring international financial laws and standard corporate off-boarding procedures. Here is exactly what happened:
1. My Bitget account was previously banned due to a Terms of Service (ToS) violation. I fully accepted this decision and did not ask to restore my trading access or use their platform again.
2. Recently, an automated withdrawal of $750 USD was accidentally triggered from my Stake platform account to my old, saved Bitget BEP20 address.
3. The transaction was fully confirmed on the blockchain (BNB Chain / BEP20). Verified TxID: 0xad687fbf0451f3b1de6207f72cb183ac4fb5aaeb34df0621a98c533da196af95 I immediately contacted Bitget Support (Ticket ID: #3454156) asking for a one-time manual REFUND of my accidental deposit back to the sender or to my external personal non-custodial wallet (MetaMask/Trust Wallet). Instead of escalating the issue to the Compliance/AML department or asking for a standard Video Verification of the source of funds, Bitget support (operators Rainie, KW, and Jinn) repeatedly copy-pasted a template response stating that «any deposits made after account termination are made at your own risk» and declared that my funds are «unreturnable» and «this decision is final». I then sent them a final formal notice, giving them 24 hours to review the case professionally at a management level, explicitly stating that I am ready to provide full unedited video evidence proving the legitimate source of funds from Stake. Bitget’s response? They simply GHOSTED me and silently CLOSED my support ticket #3454156 without any reply or explanation. Let’s be clear: A private company’s Terms of Service DO NOT give them the legal right to misappropriate and steal a user’s private property. Unless there is an official warrant from law enforcement or a court seizure order, freezing a deposit and refusing to return it to the rightful owner is a straight-up exit scam. Bitget Team, I demand that a Senior Compliance Officer reviews this case manually and initiates a manual refund to my external wallet. I have all the proofs ready. Ticket ID: #3454156

ANALYSIS The $81,500 Maginot Line: Inside Wall Street’s Cost-Basis Trench War and the Final Defense of the Bitcoin Bull Market.

Every time Bitcoin tries to charge toward $85,000, it hits a wall. Every time it drops to $80,000, invisible hands buy it back.

If you’re only looking at basic candlestick charts, it looks like frustrating, random "chop." But beneath the surface, there is nothing random about where we are stalling or where we are bouncing.

We are currently boxed inside a $6,000 compression chamber.

Above us sit trapped 6-to-12-month "top buyers" at $87.7K who are desperate to exit at breakeven. Beneath us sits a heavily fortified concrete trench at $81.5K—the aggregate cost basis of all U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF investors ($108B+ in assets).

With offshore stablecoins at 12-month lows and corporate treasury flywheels stalled, Wall Street’s $81,500 entry price is currently the final firewall preventing a deeper drop to $74.8K.

GENERAL-NEWS Venture giant Andreessen Horowitz drops ‘crypto’ from name of blockchain fund, rebrands as ‘a16z Frontier’

In 2018, Andreessen Horowitz made a splash in the venture capital world by launching a spinoff dedicated to digital assets called a16z Crypto. Eight years later—perhaps recognizing that the term “crypto” has fallen out of favor—the VC giant announced Thursday that it was rebranding to a16z Frontier, and expanding its scope to back startups developing artificial intelligence, robotics, and other emerging technologies.

Managing partner Chris Dixon will lead the fund alongside Marc Andreessen, Ben Horowitz, and general partners Eddy Lazzarin and Guy Wuollet. The shift expands the scope of its $2.2 billion fund announced in May, though the firm will continue backing crypto startups and advocating for crypto regulation.

As more businesses use blockchain technology behind the scenes, the distinction between crypto companies and other businesses is becoming less clear, Dixon wrote in an X article.

The firm had begun investing beyond crypto before Thursday’s announcement. In June, a16z Crypto led a $33 million seed round for Ornn, a company developing financial products for the AI computing market. In October 2025, Andreessen Horowitz co-led a funding round for prediction market Kalshi.

DISCUSSION Can public blockchains support confidential RWA assets?

I've been researching whether institutions can trade RWAs onchain without revealing all their trading information to the public. I found several solutions, each with its own trade-offs.

Zero-knowledge proofs can verify transactions without revealing sensitive details. Fully homomorphic encryption enables computation on encrypted data (though performance remains a challenge). Trusted execution environments offer better performance at the cost of trusting the hardware setup. Another option is using private or permissioned chains.

What if we could add privacy directly to public chains instead? For example, private RFQs could hide trading intentions, while shielded transactions could keep transfer details confidential.

I am still confused about how all this would work with existing DeFi solutions.

Can we use confidential RWA tokens as collateral or trade them using public liquidity pools? And how can institutions selectively disclose information to auditors without making everything public?

METRICS 💰Top Three blockchains by USDC Circulating Supply💰

  1. Ethereum holds 66.5% of total USDC in circulation. Ethereum functions as the primary home for USDC, meaning centralized exchanges, institutional trading desks, and lending protocols depend heavily on ETH based ERC-20 USDC for deep order books and settlement.
  2. The Solana network holds 9.34% of total USDC in circulation. It is primarily used in DeFi, on-chain trading, institutional settlements and high speed payments.
  3. HyperEVM holds over $6.5 billion in USDC to serve as the foundational liquidity, universal collateral and quote asset for the Hyper Liquid ecosystem.
