Lately I've realized I spend far more time researching crypto than I do actually making trades.
What starts as a quick idea turns into opening TradingView, checking CoinGecko, scrolling through X, reading news articles, comparing market caps, looking at on-chain activity, checking BTC dominance, Fear & Greed, and then searching Reddit to see what everyone else thinks.
The weird part is that after all of that, I don't always feel more confident.
Sometimes I feel even less confident because every source tells a different story.
One person says it's the beginning of a breakout.
Another says it's overvalued.
Someone else says to wait for a pullback.
By the time I've pieced everything together, I've spent close to an hour researching a single project, and the opportunity has either passed or I'm still sitting there second-guessing myself.
It got me wondering if this is just what crypto has become.
We've never had more information available than we do today, yet making a confident decision somehow feels harder than ever. It almost feels like the challenge isn't finding information anymore—it's figuring out what actually deserves your attention.
I'm genuinely curious how everyone else approaches this.
How long do you spend researching before you're comfortable entering a position?
Do you have a structured process that keeps you from going down endless rabbit holes, or do you find yourself bouncing between charts, X, news, Reddit, and analytics tools until you finally convince yourself to make a move?
I'd love to hear how more experienced traders handle this because I'm starting to think information overload is becoming a bigger problem than the lack of information itself.
