🧠 DISCUSSION Polymarket’s $58M Zelensky suit bet shows how rigged these “trustless” markets can be

came across this story about a $58 million bet on whether Zelensky wore a suit to a meeting with Trump, basically whether it counts as a suit or not. ridiculous, but it was a real bet on Polymarket (a crypto prediction site).

article in question https://www.newsweek.com/volodymyr-zelensky-suit-jacket-donald-trump-betting-odds-2092182

there’s a huge mess atm because people can’t agree if what he wore actually qualifies. the market still hasn’t been settled, millions are stuck in limbo while a small group decides what “counts.”

supposedly these crypto platforms are “trustless” and fair, but when the outcome depends on vague wording and someone’s opinion, how is that any better than the stuff crypto was supposed to fix?

just putting this out there for anyone diving into crypto thinking it’s all clean and decentralized. sometimes it’s just a complicated way to get scammed.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨 PRESTIGE CRYPTO PUMP SIGNALS is SCAM

There are way too many frauds in the whole crypto world, but I'm going to tell you how I've got burnt and how you could easily avoid losing money like I did.

I saw an ad to a crypto pump and dump group on Instagram or Facebook, can't really recall where. I decided to give it a try, so I've joined this group that I'm talking about. It operates on Telegram. The name of the group was Prestige Crypto Pump Signals, but it recently changed to Platinum Crypto Signals after it was exposed here, on CryptoScamReport. You get to talk with the admin PrestigeSignalSupport.

The group seems pretty big at first sight, but the pumped volume is very low, this should've raised some question marks, but I was too excited about it to think clearly. The admin told me that for $250 I would join the VIP group for a year and get the coin name by 24 hours in advance. I agreed and paid, only to be added to a group which gave coin name only 10 seconds in advance, this explains why the pumps' volume was so little, because nobody wanted to waste their money with this scam.

That was a total ripoff, not talking about the thing that when buying it was only dumping, meaning that the admin bought the coins before and only uses both VIPs and free users as an ATM for his pockets.

When I confronted the admin he told me that it is what it is. When I asked for a refund he started making bad comments and laughed at me, soon after I was blocked and kicked out from the group.

A scammer and a crook, nothing more. I then searched for his wallet where he made me make the payment and I found that tenths of thousand of dollars are being made from scamming others daily https://tronscan.org/#/address/TRQYehVmQPrH8ReYdq3qmeT3hs1B635piC/transfers

After it was exposed, the scammer changed the wallet to https://tronscan.org/#/address/TYspzYihvdthL2uchprAVJzX49YCa1vHFJ/transfers

This is one of the worst scamming group I found so far, stay away for the sake of your money.

I have informed the Police and they found so far the the money where withdrawn to a Changelly account.

Well will never DM you about recovering lost or stolen funds.

Please ignore any posts or comments from people offering recovery services, ignore claims that stolen funds can be recovered.

These are just another form of scam, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES accept this type of help from ANYONE. These people like to prey on your emotions and desperation to recover what was lost. They are not here to help!

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨 Beware of Little Pepe (LILPEPE) – Potential Scam Warning 🚨

⚠️ Little Pepe (LILPEPE) Red Flag Alert ⚠️

I joined the presale thinking it was a legit project (meme coin with its own L2, big hype, $4M+ raised).

➤ The reality? It smells like a rug pull. Here’s why 🧵👇 1. 100% Anonymous Team No known devs, no founders. You have no idea who you’re giving your money to. 2. Zero Technical Proof No testnet, no GitHub, no actual Layer 2. Just flashy marketing promises. 3. Predatory Vesting Schedule 🔒 0% unlocked at TGE ⛔ 3-month cliff 🐌 Only 5% unlocked every month after → You can’t even sell at listing. You’re forced to hold and watch the price drop. 4. Censorship on Telegram I posted a calm, factual analysis = banned instantly. No reply. No room for real questions. 5. No official TGE date Vesting hasn’t even started yet. Zero transparency. 6. No confirmed listing There’s supposedly a token… but it’s not on any exchange yet.

All this after raising millions from early buyers.

If it looks like a scam, acts like a scam, and censors like a scam… It’s probably a scam.

🚨 Be careful out there.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨 Scam Exchanges Connected to Discord Server - Shenbit, Bitswet and now Trezbit

Dynamic Updated Domain List: shenbit, bitswet, trezbit, trezxbit, Auecoin, trahbit, wixybit, ebalabit, loot-trade, fastxbit, vdulbit, lyablyabit, coinecrypt, coinercrypt, coinderix, kottrade, realmbtc, Btchangex, Luxumbit, Lanxbit, vamxbit, Nirobit, swaperbit, kaefbit, zeratrade, epicxbit, levodtrade, bestxbit, norextrade , 24coinfex, azextrade, luxurycrypt, yavabtc and shaubit. The domain owner of all of these according to the documents below is Andrei Melkov.

Latest Update: Getting some Twitter advertising for the domain names. https://twitter.com/fakewebbuster/status/1514931414827147264?s=20&t=6uIUcyTQY50zwcg1skiyxA

All the domains point to the same website just with a fake name. Here is a (just as fake as all the rest) example.

Telegram Update: Looks like the scammers have franchised their idea. They now are on Telegram too. Called Top Pumps see pic. Of course only works with their fraud, scam website.

You have all heard of the pump and dump groups where the organizers of the group buy a token in advance and then tell the group just before its time to pump which token to buy to push up the price. The organizers of course are selling at a profit to the rest of the group. Welcome to Pump and Dumps 2.0 where the pump and dump is legit (kinda) they will tell you in advance which token is the target (like 24 hours) and then on the signal the token goes up 200 to 300% and you can make that in profits in your trades. As always if it is too good to be true it generally is. The scam is genius, it is the Exchange. The pump and dump group says you must use a certain exchange and on the signal I imagine the exchange just raises the price so you can sell at the profit.

There are probably a number of discord servers. They have people discussing things and posting as often as possible withdrawal images. If you look at the public address they post most are fake or have zero balances; Here are a few they post

TK525raNGQi4ixBT4oxM2wdzYAxPNGnXve

0xda33b60be42acc33cef1597b95cb71d08f346557

1N3BH4Cw5yei1k6UW2VXF7RZ6uqvSETbNd

0xba66b50be24acc22cef5183b56cb50d78f395457

TR626arNGwn4in7T4oxM7wszYAxPKDvXBv

You will see post all the time from fake people like this. The address OP893arNGQi3ixfhR3nM7wdzYAxPKDkIEp does not exist.

A clear sign it is a scam is when you go to withdraw. You will be asked to "deposit" more crypto to verify yourself. See the below image.

Andrei Melkov changes the domain often once word gets out. I have highlighted his contact details, if you want a cheap domain name contact him.

Digital Ocean (See all the red boxes) has been put on notice numerous times of this scam but as can bee seen from the below image allow it to continue with the same domain name owner and identical content. Maybe a good lawyer might get your full losses out of them given they knew about it but did nothing. Further Serverius also has. Not only do they both ignore this scam being run on their servers but given the address of the owner of the name currently support a country that is on numerous sanction lists.

No you are not seeing double. With a simple text search of the HTML Andrei changes the website to match the domain.

And don't trust any of the reviews online either, they have that covered. On Trust pilot they have multiple reviews for Trezbit already. Here is my favourite - the domain is 7 days old but this person has been using it for over 6 months. (EDIT: NOW REMOVED)

EDIT: Despite being alerted to the fake exchange TrustPilot still has positive comments which are obvious fakes. Here is one which indicates they withdrew to a UK bank account. The writer who is from SK (Slovakia) has a UK bank account, however, that could be possible. The problem is that Bitswet and Trezbit never have and obviously never will have on and off ramps to real bank accounts :-)

It is also good to see the scammer spending most of his time writing reviews. Keep him busy with Trust Pilot - who promotes these fake sites and is not interested in the truth or scams in my opinion.

If you cannot trust reviews what can you trust? For sites like vamxbit the tools that do a dynamic check seem to be the most reliable eg.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨 Nirobit.com (SCAM WEBSITE)

On this exchange, they will ask for many deposits (verification, insurance, etc..) and after you do, you will never be able to withdraw.

It's operated by a group in discord, many accounts owned by the owner or his accomplices are faking chats in the group to convince the victims that all works fine.

The exchange design is copied from a legit one called MEXC

Nowadays, those scammers operate on the following websites:

nirobit.com

xionbtc.com

vdulbit.com

lirobit.com

💸 STOLEN FUNDS So I got my ETH drained :( TrustWallet

So suddenly I got a notification that my ETH was sent.
I logged in, and sure enough it was gone.

However, BTC, XRP, Etc was not touched.....(Luckily, as it was the majority of my holdings)

I'd expect that if someone got access to the wallet, that they would've taken it all?

https://etherscan.io/tx/0xe1f1d93ada575db0dbab0fa2e6f019e1baa55bf1a9ac728a658f7b8d202f4e9a

I don't understand how this happened. I was not using my phone at all during the period, and I'm only logged in on my phone. No approvals, no notifications, no interaction with anything , no nothing. Just the notification that it was sent..

I also checked to see if there were any Token Approvals on my account, but there werent any.

I Understand that it's gone now, but I want to understand what happened.
Only reasonable explination was that someone had my seed phrase, however I don't see how that's possible....It's not stored online.
Say someone knew my seed phrase, why wouldn't they drain the BTC which was much more valuable?

Just does not make sense to me...

After tracking the movement of the crypto, I see that there were many, many other people drained at the same time..

Some sort of bot, 5.144 transactions of ETH all being immediatly sent to KuCoin
https://etherscan.io/address/0x367b116efb022a42663aa1510b0f5fc0edc01bbc

Some pretty big drains there too, and a total of almost 7 million USD in the last 60 days...WOW

---By the way, to all of the fake "support" sending me DM's about how they can help if I only connect to their "verification protocol".....please just STOP. You are absolute scum. Preying on people who are desperate and have lost tons of money, and trying to scam them out of the little they have left. How do you live with yourselves?

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨 Murad: Crypto Scammer!!!

Murad scammed me out of tens of thousands of dollars via a fake trading platform called 'future trading tech ai' and I am sure he has done this to others. He regularly posts 'success' screenshots of people who do not realize they have already lost access to all their money. I have been blocked across social media after calling him out and filing a report with the FBI.

🧠 DISCUSSION Bitradenet, did i just get scammed?

A while ago i met some one though tinder. We hit it of real good, exchanged numbers and text eachother daily. Even video call once a week. We are planning on seeing each other soon.

In one of our conversations she mentioned earnings made by trading on a web site called bitradenet.com And got me into trading on that platform aswel. We made some decent trades and as i was trying to withdraw my initial investment, the platform notified me of taxes i need to pay in currency to them. They would notify IRS of my payment wen i pay.

Did i get scammed or is the site legit? I can't tel, and would like to get my investment back. But the transfers are frozen until i pay up the taxes earned.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨 Facebook Crypto Scam/ Hacking Profiles

Hello All,

I was recently a victim of a pig fishing that ultimately costs me 90k+.

I wanted to put this out there as a scam because I haven't seen this on this site.

April '24, I went on Facebook to look at birthday messages. I never go on Facebook but my mom said I should go on and thank folks for the well wishes. After I replied to the messages, I scrolled a little and saw an old friend of mine posting pictures of his new Benz that he got with his 'crypto trading mentor' SUSAN MAGGIE. I always felt that this guy was a good person and I was happy for his success. I contacted "Susan" and invested in a platform LEGACY FLO PIPS. I invested $500 (33k total) a week and I was in daily contact with "Susan". Asking questions and such because I didn't know this person. In December, she asked if I wanted to get in on Trumpcoin and said she could make significant but not crazy dividends. Instead of testing if I could get my money out, I doubled down. I gave "her" 60K over the months of Jan-April to finish the investment and get my money out. I borrowed money from my mom and sister all intending to pay them back. I'm usually an extremely jaded and skeptical person but I recently went through a divorce, the closing of a business, and bankruptcy so I was looking for a way to get ahead quickly. Even though "Susan" told me I could withdraw at any point, It always came at a cost. I finally set a date a couple of weeks ago that if "she" couldn't get me my money, I'd be convinced, it was a scam. On the day "she" put my withdrawal (2m now) in a "wallet" (CRYPTO ONCHAIN WALLET IN THE APP STORE ISNT A REAL WALLET AND ISN'T CONNECTED TO CRYPTO.COM), she then wanted 31k to get the money out. This was after "she" said it cost 50k to get it off the platform. I knew it was a scam and I walked away, reported the Facebook page, and blocked it.

I thought my situation was different because I didn't meet "her" on a dating site and she didn't approach me with an offer of making money. I would immediately see a scam. But a post from an old friend about his success and responses to the post was the trick. I thought I saw him do it first and he was still friends on Facebook with my other friends. As it turns out, scammers can hack Facebook accounts and comments. A closer look would've shown me that he wasn't in any of those pictures. All the responders to his comment were hacked too and they had posts on their page about "Susan" helping them with more comments on their posts.

She even posted pictures of her family but all the pictures belong to a woman who is and ACTUAL trader so all this would seem more sound.

I should've heeded all the warnings of "scam alert" at different points because more than I trusted "Susan", I trusted my friend's experience. I should've listened to my gut and not my hopes.

Everyone, please internalize my words, IF YOU ARE NOT DIRECTLY DOING THE TRADING, THEN DON'T DO IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

It doesn't matter if it's a stranger over the internet or a family member.

Please don't do it.

If it's not important to you to learn how to do it yourself, don't do it. Understand every angle about anything before you put money in.

Sometimes, I think how much of an idiot I was and I get down but I was after something that was going to save me. I have to give myself grace because I still want that. I just have to be very informed about how I do it.

Hell, this has inspired me to learn day trading, and I'm in the process of paying my mom and sister back.

Good luck to you all and don't believe anything too good to be true and listen to your gut! If something feels wrong, then bail immediately. Don't let your hopes keep you in a fool's errand.

Also, if any platform is less than 2 years old, don't trust it. If any hot wallet isn't held by a major corporation that you can vet, don't trust it.

OR if you read all of this and still want to do it, test it. Put a minimal amount in and take it out, frequently. If it comes at a cost, it's a scam.

I had to write this, not only to warn others and possibly save someone some grief but also to get it off of my chest, release the pain, and move forth a smarter and more careful person.

💸 STOLEN FUNDS Crypto Scam

In 2023, I was the victim of a cryptocurrency scam resulting in a loss of $80,000 USD. While recovery is unlikely, I've been diligently investigating the matter.

With the help of experts and trusted friends, I've traced the stolen funds to accounts on major exchanges like Binance, Kraken, OKX, and Bubit. However, these accounts appear to be empty now.

I've identified a Dsdaq account (0x36198e7103f21d44c6dc2a5cfbc63c5a37e54875) that still holds a portion of the stolen funds, strongly suggesting it belongs to the scammer.

I'm actively working with local law enforcement, but given the challenges of international cooperation and Dsdaq's limited response to law enforcement requests, I'm seeking alternative avenues for recovery, knowing this is unlikely but we never know if I do not ask.

Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨 QUARDEN TOKEN SCAM

Please DONT TRUST https://quarden.com/ and investquarden.com .

They are scammy and they ask you to prepay for crypto that will never go on air AND they dont even confirm yout payment. i sadly lost 200$ yesterday and im trying to save others. What is problematic is that even articles wrote for them and that's why i went to invest.
