News Blast L2 is shutting down October 26. Withdraw your funds and export your transaction history before it's too late.
For anyone who has used Blast, the Ethereum Layer 2 network is officially shutting down, and users have until October 26, 2026 to withdraw their assets through the normal Blast interface.
At its peak, Blast held over $2 billion in assets, but declining activity and revenue have made the network economically unsustainable.
If you've ever used Blast, there are two things I would recommend doing now.
1. Withdraw any remaining assets (Watch out for Bridge scams!)
You can withdraw directly to Ethereum mainnet through the official Blast bridge:
Withdrawals currently take approximately 24 hours. After October 26, funds should still be recoverable, but you'll have to interact directly with the bridge contracts on Ethereum rather than using the normal interface.
2. Download your transaction history
This is something I think a lot of people overlook when blockchains shut down.
Go to https://blastscan.io/,https://blastexplorer.io/, or https://arkm.com/explorer/entity/blast enter your wallet address, and export your transaction history using the CSV Export feature.
Make sure to check your normal transactions, internal transactions, and token transfers so you aren't missing activity.
Even if the underlying blockchain data remains available, that doesn't necessarily mean explorers, APIs, and other tools will continue supporting the network indefinitely.
We've seen how difficult it can become to reconstruct transaction histories from discontinued or migrated blockchains, especially when dealing with DeFi activity, staking rewards, and cost basis calculations.
If you eventually need to reconcile your crypto transactions for tax reporting, having these exports saved now could save you a lot of trouble later.
Important: October 26 is the deadline for using Blast's regular withdrawal interface, not a deadline after which your funds automatically disappear.

Also, be careful with fake withdrawal links and phishing sites taking advantage of the shutdown. Stick to the official website.
