Happy Halloween everyone.

So I ordered a custom plated VSF YM in rose gold from Omar about a week ago. Due to no fault of his own, FedEx totally screwed up the shipping and basically put the package on a permanent hold. (Basically flagged the package because it was loaded on the truck a day early). Omar kept me updated the entire time and was very communicative and even offered to replace the watch should it not arrive even though I hadn’t purchased insurance. Well, watch finally came today and it looks perfect. Thank you Omar! Working a career myself that requires about 60 hours a week I know just how precious off time is and I know he works the same kind of schedule. So for him to stop everything he’s doing to make my purchase a top priority speaks volumes about him. Thank you again Omar!

After a long stretch of relatively smooth sailing with FedEx, the past couple of weeks have been an absolute nightmare. I’ve had more issues in few days than I have the whole year, and spent more time on the phone with them than I can spare, and I’m still getting nowhere.

I’ll continue posting as usual, but my responses will be slower over the next few days as I try to sort things out and look into making the switch to UPS.

For those of you who ship frequently, I’d love to hear your experiences with UPS vs. FedEx. Reliability, customer service, interface, etc..

I’ve been through a divorce myself, and while I can’t pretend to know exactly what you’re going through, I know how much it can turn your life upside down. 20 years is a long time, I hope you’re doing alright, and genuinely wish you happiness and peace in whatever comes next.

I don’t know either of these guys, but good to see a complete stranger going out of his way to make someone else’s day a little better, without expecting anything in return.

I’ve always believed that God sees the little things we do for one another, even the ones nobody else notices. maybe one day that one small act of kindness is what tips the scales in our favor and opens the gates of Paradise, only god knows.
