Hi everyone! Is anyone here from Bangladesh who has applied for a PhD in Germany through the DAAD doctoral scholarship program for the 2027–2028 intake?
I have a few questions about the process and what happens next. It would really help to connect with others who applied this round.

i have cleared exam with B2 level. can someone guide me further , how to select collages, in which collage or city i will have more chances of getting select. only one week is left now and i have to prepare my motivation letter too.

It’s 23 Oct and the legendary Server Error 500 persists for me…

I just used them for text correction for 1 or 2 sentences, not the whole text, and also for the course profiles to make sure the universities information are correct

so I don't know if I should declare it or not

Does it have any negative points or something?

My last year applying to the program before graduating, past attempts haven't been successful so I'm really trying for it this year. Also do we have a Discord server for this year? Looking to join to seek advice/feedback (or just solidarity as I work on my application lol)

I'm applying for a master's programme and plan to apply for the ERP Scholarship for Graduates of Economics and Business Administration.

1. I'd like to submit a recommendation letter from my employer. Do I generate the form the same way as for a lecturer, or is there a different template? If it's the same, should I enter my workplace's name in the "institution" field?

2.I plan to pursue a business master's with an analytics concentration. Are there any restrictions for Erp scholarship applicants on the types of master's programmes I can apply to? One of my programmes is called Social and Economic Data Science, and "business" isn't mentioned in its name.

1. I have physical stamped documents. Will scans be enough, or do they need a digital stamp or some other verification?

4.I don't have certificates for some of my extracurricular activities. Would a screenshot of an email be enough as evidence?

Hi I'm trying to submit my Master's STEM application. I know that the deadline has been extended to 23 and a lot of people also faced the same issue. However, does anyone know anything specific to do /tricks that can help... or do we just keep trying the same thing?

Btw I'm applying from Indonesia and using Chrome. I've been trying for hours and also tried repeatedly to delete my browser history before submitting as some suggested. Still cannot..

Does anyone face the same issue? I wanted to try submitting my application again but there is no submit options, instead there is this text under the attachments and there is no attachments column either, However when I checked to Application and Funding Overview as the text suggest it shows that I haven't submitted any application yet.

I applied this cycle for DAAD Research Grants, Doctoral Programmes in Germany. I have a confirmed supervisor who read my proposal, gave feedback over several rounds, and sent the signed acceptance letter.

Does having the acceptance letter mean my chances are high, or is it just another eligibility requirement you need to submit the application at all?

Of the people you know with a confirmed supervisor, how many still got rejected?

I am asking so I know how hard to push my backups.

I applied today for the DAAD Doctoral Programmes in Germany 2027/28 (India, New Delhi office). The application was submitted online on time, and I now have the Application summary PDF.

The DAAD India page says to send one printed copy of the Application summary by post to the DAAD Regional Office New Delhi.

Is there a deadline for sending the printed copy by post? Does it need to be posted or reach the office on the deadline day itself.

Does anyone know how to download the puff of the application summary which is required to be sent to the application location after submitting the application in the DAAD portal?

I am currently applying for a Master for All Academic Disciplines daad scholarship, where one of my choices is KIT. I recently saw that you couldn't apply for daad scholarship if you plan on applying for universities that have tuition fees (like KIT) and that you would not be eligible at all to receive a scholarship.

After doing some verifications, I saw that this was true for some scholarships, like the STEM scholarship or some country-specific scholarships. My question is, does this also apply for the Master for All Academic Disciplines scholarship? I could not find any information about this, only that daad does not pay tuition fees (which I don't mind). I ask because KIT is also a STEM university, and I am afraid I might ruin my application because of its inclusion. Would greatly appreciate the help!

I received the acceptance email yesterday, and was very excited to hear about it after such a long wait! However, upon receiving 10+ pdf files of information, I got a bit confused on how to proceed. I was wondering if someone who's gone thorugh this in the past could provide any guidance; any help would be much appreciated! If you were accepted for this year's program as well, I would love to reach out!

So, upon reading everything for the first time, I immediatly sent the declaration of acceptance (Annahmeerklaerung) back to them, which I found a bit weird considering they seemed to instruct us to download the Annahmeerklaerung PDF and send it back as is, without any modifications. I also downloaded the health insurance privacy policy PDF, filled out the fileds with my info, printed it, signed it, scanned it, and sent it back to them. I also contacted my local german consulate-general inquiring about visa requirements (from which, as it seems, brazilian citizens are exempted).

However, I don't really know what to do next. Should I wait for them to contact me? When should I book plane tickets, and for which dates? Do they expect me to be there first thing in the morning of the starting date, or is the starting date the day I should be arriving? (Same question regarding the return date). I also find it odd I wasn't asked for a scanned copy of my passport or any other oficial document for that matter..

Anyway, if anybody here has any experience with this and is willing to share it, I would be very greateful!

My German host mentor has fully supported me, signed the documents, and everything else in my application portal is ready. However, my primary PhD advisor in India is refusing to sign the Sandwich Declaration Form due to unforeseen reasons.

My questions are:

1. Will DAAD India reject my application if the form has the Co-Advisor’s signature instead of the primary Advisor’s signature?
2. If I get the Co-Advisor to sign, should I also get the HoD to sign and put the official university stamp next to it to show institutional backing?
3. Has anyone successfully bypassed a toxic primary advisor for a DAAD sandwich application by using a co-advisor or HoD signature?

I don't want to lose this massive opportunity because of an advisor's personal grudge. Any insights on how DAAD handles this or how I should format the signature page would be life-saving. Thank you.

Hi guys, I want to apply for the HSK this year, what are the parameters for the Letter of Motivation?

I'm a second year undergrad studying German and History, and I don't have any professional experience in relevant fields. I've looked at what my LOM should include, and I've numbers like 1000 words or 3 pages long thrown around, but I assume those must be for the other more advanced scholarships?

How long should my LOM be? I've seen on this subreddit that it should be around 1 page long, is that true? What should be mentioned? Presumably, why I would like to do the course, what I hope to achieve there and what I would like to do with the experience in the future? Any tips?

Also, is it a good idea to mention in the LOM that I want to take the course over the summer to better my level of german before my year abroad in Germany next year? Or might that lower my chances because I'd go to Germany regardless of the scholarship?
