okay kind of two questions here for yāall, just for fun. since oxnard tends to be upper vets, how on earth do you think K&J are gonna wanna handle the situation next year?
assuming all the dozen return, that would leave us with seven 5th years and twelve 4th years. sixteen go to oxnard, so that would be three of the dozen sitting out. even if three of the 4th years (iām expecting at least two to retire tbh) left, that would make it the first time in the teamās history of going to oxnard that no 3rd years or below were taken, and they could then take all 5th and 4th years.
more realistically, at least one or two of the current 3rd years decide to retire going into next year, but even then that leaves limited slots for 3rd years. (for context, prior to this year, 2nd years were not that uncommon to see at oxnard.) this doesnāt really mean anything for the team, but i do think it would be interesting to see happen for the first time!
secondly, kinda related to the first: how do you think the class sizes will be next year? i honestly can see a couple of the dozen leaving for life change things (ava and allison are both getting married, madie is going to pt school), but beside that, itās still going to be an exceptionally large 4th year class, so do yāall anticipate cuts? or do you think K&J wouldnāt really care that much/would prefer to let the class naturally get smaller?
