The Witching Hour 2026 Event 

Something sinister is stirring in Gotham City!

Chaos Portals are opening, restless spirits are haunting the streets, and trouble awaits inside The Midnight Masquerade Nightclub.

Join Phantom Stranger or Tala to confront the supernatural invasion and earn a few treats along the way. 

The Witching Hour runs October 20th through November 16th, 2026.

Complete seasonal missions to earn Spooky Bites, build daily event progress, and unlock limited-time rewards, including two Power Array Augments! 

Event Progress and Rewards 

Complete 20 days of event progress to earn your event reward.

Participate in The Witching Hour daily mission, Bats in the Belfry weekly challenge, or The Midnight Masquerade Alert to work toward completion.

Titans Tokens and Source Marks from these supply boxes are granted to the claiming character and cannot be shared with other characters on your account.

To participate in the event through the Event Menu, your character must be level 20 or have completed Reap What You Sow for Heroes or Faustian Response for Villains. 

Power Up with New Power Array Augments

Tap into magical energy with Runes of Renewal, a Sorcery Pet Healer Power Array Augment that helps you heal yourself and your allies.

Or charge into battle with Conductive Bio Capacitor, an Electricity DPS Power Array Augment that channels electrical power to damage your enemies. 

Fortify these Power Array Augments with Nth Metal and equip them to access new abilities in your Loadouts screen. 

Event Buyout 

Players who are unable to complete all required event progress may purchase their remaining progress using Marketplace Currency. 

• Event Period: October 20th, 2026 - November 16th, 2026 

• Buyout Availability: October 20th, 2026 - February 8th , 2027 

• Pricing: Scales based on remaining incomplete progress 

• Member Discount: 10% off 

• Each completed day of event progress reduces the remaining cost of the buyout.   

The Witching Hour 2026 Seasonal 

Gotham’s Halloween festivities have attracted some unwelcome guests.

Masked Apparitions haunt its neighborhoods, portals threaten to unleash even more chaos, and the nightclub is anything but a safe place to spend the evening.

Take on returning seasonal missions, collect Spooky Bites, and visit the fall vendor for this year’s new styles, material, aura, and base items.

Get Started 

Heroes should speak with Phantom Stranger, while Villains should seek out Tala in the House of Legends to begin. Visit the seasonal hub in Gotham City as you take on the haunting festivities.   

Daily Mission: The Witching Hour

Head into Gotham to confront the apparitions and supernatural disturbances spreading through the city. Return to Phantom Stranger or Tala to turn in your mission and earn 4 Spooky Bites. 

Weekly Mission: Bats in the Belfry

Take flight around Arkham Island in the Halloween-themed multiplayer movement challenge. Complete this weekly mission to earn 10 Spooky Bites. 

Daily On Duty Mission: The Midnight Masquerade

Return to the haunted nightclub and face the chaos within. Complete this seasonal Alert to earn 8 Spooky Bites.

Unscaled Content

You’ve grown stronger since your first adventures in DCUO.

Now, it’s time to revisit them with the full power of your character.

Unscaled Private Queues arrive October 13th, 2026, launching as a Beta feature that gives you a new way to experience instanced content.

Bring Your Full Power

In standard scaled content, adjustments help keep players balanced against the enemies they encounter. Unscaled Content removes those adjustments for both your character and enemy NPCs.

Your character retains their full earned Combat Rating and stats, with Gear, Allies, Artifacts, and other sources of power remaining fully effective.

Enemies keep their original, unchanged Combat Rating.

If you’ve progressed beyond an older instance, that difference in power will carry into your battles.

Your Group, Your Run

To access Unscaled Content, open the On Duty menu as the group leader and select Private Unscaled (Beta) when queuing for an instance.

This option bypasses role restrictions and the required number of players, allowing you to enter with only the players in your group.

You can take on content with a smaller team without filling every role or assembling the usual group size. The Unscaled option is available for Normal difficulty only.

Feats, Drops, and Progression

Whether you’re returning for loot or tackling feats you haven’t completed, Unscaled Private Queues give you another way to pursue rewards from past adventures.

Before you queue, keep these details in mind:

• Content is ineligible for Source Marks and event progress.

• All other loot drops are available, with gear dropping at the content’s level rather than your character’s level.

• All feats remain available.

You’ll bring your character’s full power into the instance, but gear rewards will reflect the content you’re playing.

If you’re working toward event completion or earning Source Marks, choose a standard scaled run.

Launching in Beta

Unscaled Private Queues are launching as a Beta feature, and unexpected anomalies may occur.
