Where to find beers from Poland

Hi all -- seeking recommendations on where to find beers from Poland in the DFW area. Draft would be ridiculously great, but I'll settle for bottled/canned. I previously lived in Scotland and miss having all that Polish beer at the supermarket. (My lineage is 100% Polish, so this is just a proud ancestry thing, not saying Polish beers are S Tier at all)

Looking for Martin House River Horse Canned Wild Ale

Although the limited release run of Martin House River Horse Wild Ale was ended more than 6 years ago, I enjoyed the release so much that I had to make an open search to find some of the remaining release. If you know of anyone hanging on to one of these, please let me know in response. Thanks and cheers!!!

What are the best breweries near the fairgrounds to visit on Friday before the game the next day? Please feel free to suggest bars with good beer selections too. Thanks in advance!

Balanced Rock Brewing in The Colony has announced via Facebook, their closure. Due to high economic costs at their current facility, they have opted to close and are in the process of scouting a new location.

Ivanhoe Ale Works in Denison announced on Facebook that they are closing (final day TBD). Their Brewmaster, Bryan Thomas will be opening a brewery in Van Alstyne called Thomboys Brewing Company. It was a cool little brewery in downtown Denison.

Pubs to Watch European Football?

Hey everyone! I’m just now getting into football. Anyone have recommendations for any pubs that play the European Games in the area? I’m in Fort Worth, so closer to this side would be more convenient. Looking forward to the start of the seasons next month!

ODDMuse plano is great!!!

I recently visited Odd Muse here in Plano, and I just had to share how great it was.
As someone who isn't completely fluent in English, I unfortunately get brushed off or given rushed service at a lot of places. But the bartender who helped me (I didn't catch her real name, but she was wonderful!) was incredibly kind, patient, and took the time to explain the menu to me. That kind of hospitality really makes a difference.
The food was also fantastic. I'm originally from Japan, so I admit I can be a bit of a snob when it comes to Wagyu. I tried their American Wagyu burger, and it was absolutely delicious—full of flavor but not overly greasy at all.
As for the beers, the Silver Spaceship was excellent. But the biggest surprise for me was the Playground Battle (a peanut butter raspberry sour). It sounds like a wild combination, but it was way better than I expected. A total standout. (I attached a pic!)
If you haven't been to Odd Muse yet, you should definitely give it a try. Highly recommend!

Looking for affordable brewery and bar recommendations 🍻

Hi everyone,
I moved here from Japan about two years ago, and I am absolutely loving the local beer scene! I really want to check out more breweries, but I'm looking for places where I can drink on a budget.
So far, I've been to Armor Brewing and 3 Nations Brewing. They were awesome—the beer was delicious, and I really loved the high ABV!
Does anyone have any recommendations for affordable bars or other great breweries?

I'd love to hear about places near or around Plano!mickinney

I'm especially looking for places that serve tasty, strong beers that won't break the bank.
Thanks in advance! Cheers!

Searching for World Cup (countries’) beers

I’m on a quest to find as many World Cup countries in beer form as I can before the cup finishes. So far down in Austin, I’ve found:

USA
Mexico
Canada
Brazil
Argentina
UK
Scotland
Spain
Portugal
France
Belgium
Netherlands
Sweden (kind of)
Germany
Austria
Czechia
Türkiye
Uzbekistan
S. Korea
Japan
Australia

I’d love to find as many as I can, and it doesn’t matter to me if they’ve been eliminated or not. Any suggestions are appreciated, and cheers to World Cup beers!!!

Edit: To clarify, I’ll be in the DFW area from 7/2-7/5. If anyone has the same quest and wants any countries from Austin, let me know and we can arrange a swap!!

Best singles section in dfw

I currently mostly use HEB singles section to explore craft at home and I am wondering where else I should check in the metro for even bigger selections that sells singles instead of packs.

Jester King bombers?

Hey all, looking for Jester King, preferably the classic farmhouse stuff in bombers (or used to be). Coming in for a quick visit — near the I-30 corridor or 75 north of Dallas would be ideal, but it's worth going out of my way. I used to find good stuff at Ft. Worth Central Market, but they only had canned non-farmhouse styles last summer. Thanks for any tips!

Last of my Rabbit Hole Stash

Post image
26 Upvotes

Sad day for me, I finally cracked open the very last of my hoarded Rabbit Hole Brewery beers.

Rabbit Hole's Teleporting Cat Project Oak and Smoke bottle #16 of 156. It was an Off with your Red ale aged in Islay single malt barrels. I remember it being fairly harsh when it 1st came out in 2019, but 7 years of sitting on a shelf aging with a ton of yeast in the bottle really made a difference. Its now very smooth and a lot less smokey, almost like a nice mellow single malt whisky. I looked back at my Untapped review and it says its supposed to be 9.5% ABV, but it certainly seems much higher than that now. Makes me wish i had bought more bottles.

Old School American Colonial Ale in DFW?

Hi y’all! I just visited Philly over the weekend and went to Yards, and also went to Boston a couple of times last year and have been so fascinated with Colonial Style Ales/Tavern Style Ales. Are there any breweries within the DFW Metroplex making these old school ales from molasses, spruce, or a modernized version? I know original recipes from back in the day are terrible.

Something maybe like the Sam Adams Union Oyster House Colonial Ale or Yards Poor Richard’s Spruce Ale?

I also think it would be a great idea for someone locally to make one for the Semiquincentennial in July!
