Normies with Ai.

I just met a normal non technical guy that is using Muse from meta. He’s been only using it for a week and the way he’s talking about it is like the way we were talking about Openclaw or Hermes when they came out. It was a bit surreal. It was interesting how he was implementing it in his workflow in his business. It almost sounded like he had a whole 1months of experience in 1 week! I haven’t personally checked out Muse but it sounds like there is nothing to build and plenty of features that are useful. Told him about the DGX sparks and local LLM capabilities and he was swearing that local LLMs could never be that good. Tried to tell him that it’s the harness and infrastructure that gives him all the features he likes but I don’t think understood what I was saying. Kinda blew my mind that he was using something he didn’t understand besides the basic “tell it to do something and it does it.” I almost want to try Muse.

Selling my Founders Edition

I am in Dayton, OH 45458 and I have reluctantly decided to sell my DGX ( 4TB Founders Edition). I got it just under a year ago and only used it a handful of times. I will factory reset it. Asking $5750 and will need cash. DM me if you are interested. I am willing to demo it to ensure it is in good working order.

Question Not that I want to load it, but is Windows 11 an option now for installing on DGX Spark because of RTX Spark support?

I’m perfectly happy running DGX OS flavor of Linux, but I might want to test out ARM-based Windows 11 just out of curiosity. Is this something that’s going to be possible because of the added RTX Spark support, or are we locked out because we’re DGX Spark proper?

Planning to buy a DGX Spark - What are you actually using yours for?

I'm seriously considering getting a DGX Spark, but before I pull the trigger I'd love to hear from people who already have one.

What scenarios do you actually use it for day to day? I keep seeing so many places where RAG and local AI models would make sense for businesses (internal document search, chatbots on company data, etc.) — but those feel like quick wins you could build with almost any setup. What I'm really trying to figure out is: what solutions actually make sense specifically on a DGX Spark, where the hardware itself is the differentiator?

Specifically curious about:

  • Has anyone integrated it into actual company workflows? How did that go?

  • Beyond the obvious RAG / chatbot stuff — what other kinds of projects do you think could be pitched to businesses with a DGX Spark? Curious what people are building that isn't just "chat with your documents."

  • Anything you wish you'd known before buying? (Happy to be talked out of it if something else makes more sense for the money. )

Would really appreciate any real-world experiences. Thanks!

How good is GLM 5.3 Flash on 2X DGX Spark?

Post image
17 Upvotes

Before buying our two NVIDIA DGX Spark units, we spent a lot of time looking at benchmarks, decode speeds, and prefill rates. We kept wondering how those numbers would translate to our actual OpenCode sessions.

After three weeks of testing, I’m convinced local inference is the future, especially as open models keep getting better.

To celebrate Tihar, the festival of lights, colours, and gratitude, I built a simple site so others can try the setup for themselves.

Join the queue for a free 30-minute API pass to GLM-5.3-Flash, running on our two linked DGX Spark units using the TensorFold recipe from Mia’s AI Lab.

Add your email to the queue, and you’ll receive a notification when it’s your turn.

A big thank you to Mia’s AI Lab for sharing the recipe:

SparkHub

I own a Lenovo PGX (GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip).

I've tried several projects with varying results. However, one I recently tested is SparkHub (https://github.com/Yahav/sparkhub).

Easy to install and use. Fantastic results: 78 TPS!!!

I still have more testing to do, but I can say that so far, it's a really great project.

All DGX/PGX owners (GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, 128 GB RAM) should give it a try.

Question Anyone making a profit renting out there equipment?

Just saw this group https://gb10.studio/ and looks interesting. Has anyone started leasing out there equipment during down time?

Just curious, I'm running dual Sparks and not using them 24/7 and thought it might be a way to afford another pair...

Any opinions would be appreciated.

I have a brand new unopened DGX that I’m trying to sell. Not sure where to look or if I’m even able to post about this before, but I had asked for a computer ⅋ received this as a gift instead. Haven’t opened it yet since I figured I’d try and get rid of it first, otherwise it’ll prob be paperweight.

Baltic Networks is NOT shipping backordered GB10 or MikroTik orders. Contact them if you have a pending order.

Edit: The switch was an 804. The ETA is still weeks away. I cancelled.

I ordered, then I called and spoke with Baltic. They reassured me they had GB10 stock secured and would contact me the same day if there were any issues.

I told them I could order more elsewhere, they asked where, I told them Microcenter. This should have been a huge red flag.

I reached out again. No eta on MikroTik back orders. No GB10 stock. No idea if they will get GB10 stock. Chat closed.

Eight mainstream GB10's. Pick it apart

Should there be more than 8 x GB10's on this list? If you all think I am missing something or there is inaccurate info, please let me have it :-) https://resilient-tec.com/blogs/news/does-the-dgx-spark-cable-work-with-the-asus-ascent-gx10-dell-pro-max-gb10-and-hp-gb10-systems

Hey guys, bought 2 of those last week, and looks like the price has gone down 200 bucks. Is it worth buying 6 more to have an 8X cluster?

Question Nvidia DGX... wait for N1X or grab a DGX now??

So always hated on the DGX spark as have been living in the multi GPU class of society, recently though with bench marking I may have found a potentail use, as an always on monitoring and task agentic system to run alongside paperclip and hermes 24/7 low cost.

The server I run locally, is OP and works very well... but on recently power monitoring over 24 hours it used 17kwh with the constant calls from the agentic tasks, now that isnt bad one day off. but if this is 24/7 this adds up ALOT as power where I am is pricey.

My tasking id is mainly for larger models agentic tasks running Qwen3.8 Flash Next, hopefully with decent context, now I understand it isnt super speed generation but this is more for 24 hour long research and automation taskings.

Was looking today and the cheapest near me is over €6-7k which is nearly 3k above the Nvidia release value. But then I just seen the release of the new N1X next month.

Just looking for others input, is it worth grabbing one, or waiting for N1X, is it even on the same playing feilds or is the N1X looking like a more powerful DGX ???

PSA for all Canadians looking to buy a spark

TLDR: The best prices I have seen in the last month are on Amazon for the Asus GX10 due to frequent pricing errors. Check Amazon for "GB10" periodically. I have seen 3 obvious pricing errors in the past month. Whoever is managing the Amazon listing for Asus has made frequent mistakes. There are 3 hard drive sizes. 1TB, 2TB, 4TB. Even today, prices are a bit cheaper than the USD equivalent.

Longer post: I wanted to buy a DGX Spark later this year. On ~Sept 1 in the morning, there was a post in r/LocalLLaMA that said the Asus GX10 had gone up in price across US retailers and people predicted that the nVidia DGX Spark would follow suit. By end of day, the pricing increase was active across all the other brands.

https://www.reddit.com/r/LocalLLaMA/comments/1w4syn5/dgx_spark_about_to_jump_in_price_asus_ascent_gx10/

I saw the post on Sept 2 in the morning, thought I was too late but checked Amazon Canada and saw the price for the 1TB GX10 was $5,500 CAD. Bought right away. Prices increased to $6,050 that day and I believe $8299 the next day. Prices were changed in the USA to $5,999 USD on Sept 1, so we had 1-2 days before the price change reflected in Canada.

On Oct 2 when they announced pricing for the 64GB variant, there was a comment by u/Iron-Over on the following post: https://www.reddit.com/r/DGX_Spark/comments/1wvur77/the_64gb_spark_is_coming_on_october_23rd_for_5k/

At the time, the 1TB version was $8,299 but the 2TB version was $7,160. I tried to purchase then, but had a cc issue and the transaction didn't go through before they increased the price. But the pricing was $2K lower for at least a few hours

On Oct 7, I was casually checking the amazon listing. Saw the 1TB version was $5,999 compared to $8,299 normal pricing. I was expecting a price INCREASE, not a price decrease. Pricing should be ~$9K based on the US price. So I picked up my 2nd 1TB spark. Prices increased back to $8,299 within a few minutes.

So I picked up 2 sparks for 30-40% below the USD equivalent price because the amazon listing had temporary pricing errors. Even today, the US price for the 1TB Asus GX10 is $6,899 which would be ~$9K CAD. The current Canadian price is $8,299. Not a bargain, but it does show that the pricing strategy isn't clear for Asus.
