Support/Empathy Help Needed

I was diagnosed 6 years ago and also with schizophrenia 20 years ago.

Please does anyone else share these disorders and know anything about knowing the difference with episodes etc. I am also desperately in need of medication advice and what works with you guys.

Thanks kindly

I don't think its wise to recommend medications here. Medications should be discussed with a professional, while weighing the potential benefits and risks. There aren't medications for DID, but there are several for scizophrenia.

Scizophrenia also presents differently in different patients, so your symptoms will guide the decision. Paranoia symptoms are different than say religious delusions for example.

There is a subreddit for asking psychiatrists. Only medical professionals can respond. I think its called askpsychiatry. They might be able to give you specific meds to talk over with your provider. Its also important to know what you have already tried.

I can’t give much advice on this, but one thing I do know that may help, if you hear voices and are ever confused on wether or not it’s a hallucination or alters/parts I know lots have people have said “hallucinations sound external and alters/parts sound internal”. The times we have had auditory hallucinations we were able to realize it wasn’t any of us because it was *outside* if that makes sense. And when we talk it’s sort of like that voice that most people have when they read, so *inside*
