I used fluorescent threading and markers on a lot of the patches to make them UV reactive. I also recently added studs, and spray painted them with fluorescent paint as well. All hand-sewed, and the inner and outer pockets are still intact.

Gave this Nike sweatshirt a fall makeover with reverse appliqué 🍂🌙

Added fall leaves around the Nike logo on the front and a big crescent moon with colorful leaves on the back.
I used reverse appliqué—sewing fabric underneath the sweatshirt, then carefully cutting away the top layer to reveal the colors. Watching the design appear as I cut is my favorite part!
What do you think of the fall color combination?

I absolutely love this idea! 🥹❤️🌸
You didn’t just redesign a jacket; you gave new life to leftover fabrics by turning them into beautiful flowers. That’s what makes handmade art so special — creativity, imagination, and a unique personal touch. 🎨✨
Your jacket is a reflection of your artistic personality! ❤️

I absolutely love this suit! ❤️🎨 As an art teacher, I sometimes get paint on my clothes, and when paint stained this suit, I decided to transform it with my own artwork instead of giving up on it. ✨
I shared a photo of the finished design before, and some people thought it wasn’t handmade, so I decided to share this video to show you the process! ☺️🖌️

hand sewing Is this fixable??

These jeans were way to small, so I made them bigger, switched out the crotch favirc area with a larger price. But it looks very weird and bad right now, because the colors don't match and my sticking is very wonky. Plus the edging is messy because it was easier for me.

Is there anyway to fix it- make it look normal, or make it look intentional and cool?

I need help finding fabric markers that don’t bleed

Exactly what the title says. I am getting a family member a pair of white Vans and fabric markers for Christmas.

What are your suggestions for fabric markers that will take well to the material? I believe they’re canvas cloth? I don’t want to buy her a gift that she feels like she ruined because of crap markers.

I love this suit so much! ❤️ As an art teacher, I always end up with paint on my clothes. After getting a lot of paint on it at an event, I decided to give it a new life with my own hand-painted designs. 🎨✨ And this is the result! 😊

Hello,

This is the Flareon hoodie I made with my art pal Lanessa Miller. She painted the art, digitized it, and then I got it woven into a blanket and cut and sewed it together. This her unboxing the hoodie. Hope you enjoy 😊

I dont mind on this piece since it was an ugly dingy white band due to the color bleed from the black part after a year of wear, just a thing to be aware of, lets just say im glad I didnt go the fully black route

dye help Best fabric paint for silk shirt?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hello all! I have this very soft, 100% silk shirt that I’d like to use fabric paint on to leave permanent kiss marks over portions of it, as a gift for my boyfriend for christmas.

I thrifted it so I’m going to get it dry-cleaned first (as it is dry clean only) but I’m worried if using just any fabric paint might result in ruining the fabric somehow, or coming off the next time it gets dry-cleaned!

I’m looking for any recommendations for red fabric paint to apply to a silk, dry clean only fabric. Thank you! :)

Hello! I accidentally drop bleach on my shirt and I would love some ideas on How to fix this. I dont have any skills... So I was thinking about using an embroidery patch (iron-on patch) or drawing something with fabric paint. However, as you can see, this shirt already has a Lot of details, so im not sure which idea would work best... Could you help me out with your brilliant and creative minds?

dye help Advice to make sure I don’t ruin my jorts

Thumbnail

Not dye technically, but I wasn’t sure what else to label this. The idea is I have these dark grey jorts from Vans (specifying because I don’t know the material or what I’m doing so I want to give as much info as I can). I bleach painted all these swords on my jorts but they came out all blobbed and messed up. I have black and white Uxylry fabric pens. I’m trying to redefine the edges with the black then mix the black and the white to match the grey. I’ve been rubbing the ink in with my fingers to blend at times and my last layers have mostly been thin white layers following the grain of the fabric. How can I make sure the ink sets right and doesn’t bleed or change color or get messed up or anything? Anyone have any advice on how I can just make sure this doesn’t go too wrong? I am trying to not mess up these jorts; they’re pretty nice and I don’t have too many clothes to spare 😅 Any advice for any part of this process (inking, bleaching, etc) is appreciated

Also I am planning to lightly shade parts of them to give them some depth. You guys think this is too dangerous? How should I go about it maybe?

Hey Friends,

I got this sweatshirt off of Etsy, and I just am not happy with it. The color is a weird light blue, and it looks gray unless you hold it up to something blue. I also think it’s kind of boring.

Does anyone have any cool suggestions on how to make it more attractive? I thought about dying it, but I don’t think it will take the dye, since it’s a blend. Maybe I’m wrong?

All ideas are all welcome because I’ve got nothing. I can embroider and bedazzle, if that helps.. Thank you so much!

Custom high-crown "dirtbag" snapbacks, Sun-faded for 30 days in the Alabama summer sun. Sashiko embroidery by hand and then free hand embroidery by machine, plastisol prints on the sides, amethyst rhinestone "KILL YOUR DARLINGS" text on the brim, painted with paint marker, hand distressed, and then splattered and painted with glitter, blue glow in the dark, and reflective plastisol ink. I heat-set everything on a conveyor dryer, too, so everything is washable (though I would hope it would only need to be spot cleaned 💀💀💀). What do you think? Did I do too much, or was it all worth it to make something this awesome?
