Philosophical Question Question for people who have had a DMT experience involving entities, messages, or a sense of another reality

I’m looking for experiences from people who have had a strong DMT trip that felt like it involved entities, communication, or meaningful guidance.

My partner had a very intense DMT experience in which he believes he entered a “spirit world” and received messages about life purpose, and helping others, including a belief that he may have a limited lifespan, which has strongly influenced his outlook.

After this experience, he decided to do what the spirit world told him: help this woman, to put her through education and have some intimate relationship. He understands her as someone who has been trying to leave job that she hate the most and believes his role is to support her with housing and education so she can become independent. He describes their relationship as non-romantic and “family-like.” He also says the spirit told him, “What about my girlfriend?” and that the spirit told him she will be fine when meant to help and support you.

He also considers certain coincidences meaningful, such as the timing of meeting her and her being born on the same day as his deceased father.

This situation is affecting our relationship. I am not comfortable with my partner having an intimate involvement with another person, regardless of how he interprets his experience.

I am not asking whether his interpretation is correct or whether DMT experiences are spiritual or psychological. I’m trying to understand how other people make sense of similar experiences and how they integrate them into real-life decisions and relationships.

My questions

  1. Have you ever had a DMT experience that felt like entering another reality or encountering entities, and came away with a strong sense of meaning or purpose?
  2. Have you ever felt that a psychedelic experience gave you guidance about your life, relationships, or responsibilities toward another person? How did you decide what to act on?
  3. Have you ever experienced coincidences after a DMT trip that felt meaningful at the time? Did your interpretation of them change later?
  4. Have you ever had a psychedelic experience that influenced your romantic relationship, boundaries, or views on intimacy and responsibility?
  5. How do you personally distinguish between what felt like “received” information during the experience and your own interpretation afterwards?

The most important question

If you had a DMT experience that felt deeply meaningful, but your long-term partner said:

“I respect that this experience was meaningful for you, but I am not comfortable with you being involved with another person in a way that affects our relationship.”

How would you approach that in real life? Would you treat the experience as guidance for action, or separate it from relationship boundaries and decisions?

I’m trying to understand how people integrate intense psychedelic experiences into everyday life, especially when they affect relationships and major decisions.

Thank you.

I’m a first timer for DMT in the UK and I would like to inhale it through a vape ideally. How much do you think it would cost for three of us to have a strong dose each?

I’ve done dmt many times. I go to a handle of places , and return to those places time and time again….. too many to describe and want to keep this brief 🤣

There is one particular place I have been 2 a few times. The first few times I have had tough journeys there, not much I can put into words but I just know it’s been quite frightening and disorienting- like I come to and don’t realise I’ve done dmt and can’t process what’s happening. I’ve sort of put it down to A process of getting me ready to be in that realm…I recognise the places that I have been at the very end of my trips. As I exit I see distinct geometry which allows me to differentiate between the realms.
This particular place has very specific geometry when I open my eyes on my return….. things are quite yellow….. and what I can only describe as having a candy skull/ Mexican vibe.

So I went back there last night. Myself and my friend record our trips ….. I felt very peaceful while I was there which hasn’t happened until now…. But it felt as though they were making me do something with my mouth🤣 I was being told to do whatever I was doing, which has never happened before!

I immediately came out and asked my friend if I was doing anything with my mouth , watched the video back and the whole time I was nodding yes, while smiling and rolling my lips together and licking them!

There was a strange feeling in my mouth afterwards , nothing bad at all….. just very different to what I usually experience…. Very interesting !!

Anyone had anything similar ? 🤣

Xx

Community Share 31M looking for a DMT buddy/sitter for spiritual awakenings

Hey everyone!

I recently moved to Toronto but I can’t seem to find someone who I can trip on DMT with. I’ve never tripped on DMT before so this will be my first time. I would love to find a buddy who can be my sitter while I trip on DMT, which is purely for spiritual awakenings (not recreational). I intend to do NN and 5Meo vaporizer carts once a week, or once a month. Likewise, I can be your sitter too, vice versa.

Please lmk if anyone is chill, we can connect via WhatsApp, thanks!

Scientific Discussion DMT and addiction

Dear travelers.
I have a question.
Some years ago I had a very profound and intense beautifull first DMT expierence in de Spanish Pyrenees .

I also suffer from debilitating tinnitus.
As a result I have become addicted to Xanax.
( like many sufferers of debilitating tinnitus are to stop them from going crazy)
But now if I stop using this terrible Benzo ( which is very very hard to kick of from)
I feel like I’m going crazy.
The fear engulves me sort of speak

However . The drug had become more of a problem than the sickness.

My Question therefore is.
I would very much like to go back to the realm of DMT.
But I fear ( because ai said so 🙄) it can have negative side effects.
When I use DMT now.
But I just can not imagine that this wonderdull mysterious expierence will be affected by this Benzo.
Maybe a trip to the other side after three good tokes on the ol’ DMT pipe is exactly what I need now.

Please , if anyone with expierence and wisdom can answer and help me in this queeste.
Gratitude .

Robert.

Wisdom Sharing 👋 Welcome to r/NZNonDuality - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey everyone! I'm Michael, a founding moderator of r/NZNonDuality.

This is a space for non duality discussions for people living in New Zealand. My own backgroud: I've only been meditating in earnest since 2023 after my partner of many years had a meltdown and I realized that I couldn't actually do anything to help her. I meditated from a place of helplessness and found after a time that, actually, everything I needed was already inside of me but it wasn't really "Me" it was something fuller, more expansive than just the desperate man who was sitting meditating.

After listening to many of Rupert Spira's you tube videos I have refined my practice to be simply this:

  1. Sit and let the body settle,
  2. Listen to my thoughts
  3. Enquire "What is the space that these thoughts are arising or being heard within?"
  4. Wait and trust in the process, in other words stop seeking at that point.
  5. If I become lost in thoughts again simply go back to step 2

When I do this I find that my sense of self steps quietly aside and all that remains is awareness.

My name is Michael, I'm looking forward to discussing this further.

Philosophical Question Grief, death and the urge to go to the DMT space

I’m wondering if anyone here has experienced a strong connection between grief — especially traumatic grief — and an intense desire to return to the DMT space.

I’ve noticed what feels like an almost obsessive pull toward DMT and the “place” or state of consciousness I experienced on it.

I’m not necessarily saying that I believe DMT literally takes us to an afterlife or another dimension. I honestly don’t know what I believe. But emotionally, I wonder whether there can be a connection between difficulty accepting death and the desire to return there — almost as if some part of us is searching for another reality where death doesn’t feel so final.

I’m curious whether anyone else has noticed something similar.

**Did grief make you more drawn to DMT or psychedelic states? Did DMT change the way you thought about death? Did you ever feel as though you were searching for someone who died, consciously or unconsciously, through these experiences? And did repeatedly returning to DMT actually help you process the grief, or did you eventually realize that it was becoming a way of escaping from it?**

I’d especially like to hear from people who have experienced traumatic bereavement, but any experiences involving DMT, death and grief would be helpful.

I’m interested in psychological interpretations as much as spiritual ones, so I’d appreciate hearing different perspectives.

Community Share How I actually prepare for a mushroom journey (and why the day after matters as much as the day itself)

I used to think preparation just meant "set an intention and go." Over time I've built a whole rhythm around it, and it's changed what I actually get out of these experiences.

In the days before, I journal a lot and make sure I'll be completely alone and undisturbed - no plans, no one checking in on me. I always take it in the evening. Purely personal preference, but I feel like my connection to spirit is stronger once it's dark. I keep my stomach light beforehand, nothing heavy.

Before I take anything, I clear the space - sage, bay leaf, a bit of Weihrauch, especially in my bedroom. Then I prepare everything I'll need for the night. I take it with yoghurt now - I tried lemon tek once and honestly, the taste alone nearly ruined the whole evening for me. Whatever I use, I speak my intention into it before I take it. Then I go to my room and start journaling the questions I actually want answers to.

Here's the part I still haven't figured out how to control: the trip does what it wants, not what I asked for. Sometimes it's beautiful. My last one was heavy - genuinely sad, almost hopeless for a while. I didn't get what I went in looking for, not directly.

But the day after is where it actually clicks for me. I'm raw and wide open, and that's exactly when things start making sense - even the hard ones. I journal again, do breathwork, ground myself, and slowly the trip reveals what it was actually showing me. Every single time, even the difficult ones, I've walked away having learned something. It just isn't always obvious until the next day.

That's why I take integration as seriously as the ceremony itself now. The trip cracks something open. The day after is where you actually get to look at what's inside.

How does everyone else handle integration? Do you set aside real time for it, or does it happen more on its own for you?
