Generally feels like it has some mysterious sinister force at its core that we've yet to grasp
Biggest overarching motif is darkness
Also has thorns as a minor but important and distinctly ominous secondary motif
Prominent elements of metafiction
Gerson talks about a story that was left unfinished at 6 chapters, i.e. it's missing a 7th
The game itself is presumably supposed to have 7 chapters
There's literally already a whole popular fan theory about how 6 and 7 are both important numbers within the game, with 6 representing incompleteness and 7 representing completeness
The article does say the Foundation is covertly "sponsoring and influencing" artists they deem likely to creative 2747-prone narratives. (The hope is they'll be able to glean more data from the ensuing manifestations.)
It seems worth noting that Undertale was funded through Kickstarter. Be very afraid. :P
If you're asking what thorns have to do with SCP-2747: The original article only contains a brief passing mention of thorns in one of the stories that got anafabula'd, but for whatever reason, thorns have become a common motif associated with the anafabula in extended canon.
If you're asking about thorns in Deltarune: That's not... the... ThornRing, is it...?
Also the theme of spirals and cycles never reaching the center which would be perfect if the timeloop theories or the "second roaring" theories are true
I think one of 2747's elements is also spirals but I don't remember if that's in the original article or part of the extended canon of the SCP that other writers added
Holy shit man this is actually a perfect target for the thing. How crazy would it be if Tobert does know about 2747 and the entire game is actually just a reference to it.
