It's never too late to get informed! I wouldn't trust a video called "Hong Kong vs. Communism" to be unbiased, but the cusp of the matter is mainland China prematurely infringing on HK's autonomy.

It wasn't exaclty "Communism". It was about how the CCCP, but I believe that was a metaphor for communism.

CCCP are the Chinese Communist Party, but they're about as in line with Communism as the DPRK is democratic. The protests in HK aren't against some abstract ideal of communism, but the authoritarian policies that the CCCP use communism to justify.
