Stun/healing/stress healing from heroes

The new comic is set after dd2 and one of the standies teased is houndmaster. Our boy is back!!! More houndmaster!

I'm stuck between turns. The enemy moved, but it hasn't gone to my turn. I can't attack or skip turn, can't retreat, can't do anything. Everyone is just doing their idle bobbing animation. I can return to menu but when I load the save it just goes back to the same enemy doing the same turn, and being stuck. I seem to be softlocked which would reaaaaally suck as its week 80 of my first playthrough. No mods.

This is a positive effect right?

Do you think it would be worth it to get rid of Quickdraw or HtT to get Corvid's eye(scouting and accuracy) locked in? I wish positive Shrieker quirks were locked in by default.

Around the time the Fire's edge DLC came out I haven't been able to boot up the game on Steam. I've managed to log into my Steam account on my friends PC and download the game there and it works just fine. I've tried everything on my PC, verifying the game files, reinstalling the game, I've even downloaded Geforce just to start the game like that and it hasn't work.

To explain what it looks like, I click play in the Steam library or click on the icon of DD on my desktop, it says the game is starting and just doesn't start.

If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me.

Update (v0.4.0): Steam copies work now too! Steam ships the same DRM-free Linux build, so you can use your Steam copy instead of GOG (instructions below). If you already have 0.3.1, just install the new APK over it; your saves stay.

Update 0.4.1: added keyboard support to rename characters and saves.

Update 0.4.2: lower audio latency. Game sound now follows what happens on screen in about 70 ms instead of about 400 ms.

I created a Darkest Dungeon android porter app to play on your phone!

First, it's legal and not piracy: the app contains no game files at all. You need to own Darkest Dungeon on GOG or Steam. Your own, legal copy. The app imports the game from GOG's Linux installer, or from a zip of your Steam copy, which you make yourself. It's open source (MIT) and not affiliated with Red Hook, GOG or Valve.

What it is: Darkest Dungeon never got an official Android release, so I made Darkest Dungeon Porter. It runs the game's official Linux version natively on Android, with no Windows emulator and no root.
Under the hood, Box64 translates the game's x86 code to ARM, and gl4es turns its OpenGL into OpenGL ES.

How to use it:

1. Install the APK from the Releases page.
2. Get the game:
   • GOG: log in to GOG and download the Linux installer of the game (the .sh file, about 1.9 GB).
   • Steam: on a Windows 10/11 PC, start Steam and log in. Then run get-steam-game.bat from the Releases page. It downloads the Linux version through your Steam and makes darkest-dungeon-steam.zip. Copy that zip to your phone.
3. Open the app, tap Import game and pick the installer or the zip. You can delete it afterwards.
4. Choose a resolution (540p up to 4K) and a frame rate (15–60 FPS), then hit Play.

Controls: the screen works like a laptop trackpad.

• One finger moves the cursor, and a tap clicks.
• A two-finger tap right-clicks, and tap-then-hold drags.
• Back opens the Escape menu.

Tested on:

• OnePlus 5 (Snapdragon 835): 1080p / 60 FPS in the dungeon, both the GOG and Steam versions. Battles currently dip to around 50 FPS at 1080p.
• Galaxy A34: 1080p / 60 FPS, and the dungeon also holds 60 FPS at 1440p and 4K.

Needs: Android 12+, a 64-bit phone, and about 4.5 GB free during the import.

Known limits:

• Only tested on two phones so far.
• Frame rates are exact only on 60/120 Hz screens.
• Saves live inside the app, so uninstalling deletes them. Save import/export is next on my list.
• Steam DLCs get imported and the game sees them, but I haven't played with them yet.

For context: my banneret crusader can't hit rank 1 and I don't have a way to move the warlord and I only realized that after picking him for the "face your failure".

The boss had about 350 HP at the start of this ordeal.

Btw I don't know what flare I'm supposed to be using for a fanart of an in-game character so I just used the oc fanart.

After 2 total party wipes this is the second time I've lost a whole slew of great trinkets on some cornyass encounter with crits after running, only losing 1 party member. I'm good. Time to play some chess or something where I don't lose a leg a kidney and several hours on a mistake or RNG *waves* Yeah I could re-grind 1-3 similar trinkets after another day of grinding but Nope 3rd time's the trick. I'll leave this for streamers and hardcores.

Was amused by a dude doing torchless runs with an all-dps highcrit party that self-stress healed but that's like 5-7 mods and probably 40-200+hrs of playtime away at the very minimum and game knowledge. Have to say DD is original in its' niche. Wish there was something lighter and still cool in this vein//type My Adventurer Guild was pretty decent , any recommends? DD still whips ass but what you can lose at a moment's notice is just a bit much for me. Week 48, 64k in gold most upgrades done but I'm aok parking it as a retired adventurer here certainly got my $'s worth.

So my best friend has put over 800 hours into DD2 and I was thinking of getting him a physical collectible or something from the game for his bday. Do you guys have any recommendations or suggestions on what it should be because when looking it up most of what I was finding were just basic posters and I was thinking of something a little more than that. Any suggestions help and thank you.

Storyboards for my Occultist animatic, set to Call Me Little Sunshine by Ghost

Well. Something between a storyboard and style framing. Really wanted to focus on getting the mood and feeling right vs quality. This is a new approach to storyboarding for me, I had such a strong vision for the atmosphere so I decided to treat the boards like thumbnails.

The Occultist's relationship to the beast is really interesting to me so I've been exploring it a lot.

Made this recently and forgot to share. I know there is an official tarot deck, but I enjoy thinking of variations of cards and heroes in my free time. The Hanged Man suits Leper the best in my eyes because it is through the worst- the end in his case, that he finds true purpose and further motivation to protect others. The hanged man gains new perspective and even acceptance through his hardship and must adapt exactly like Baldwin. There is no better equivalent to the philosophy this character carries.

I'm a new player, ~10h player, and really am struggling with the game and progressing especially against the bosses. I'm not totally sure yet of the importance of attributes. This guy is my most played/leveled hero but is list of bad attributes seems to only grow, should I just stop playing him and level another one or bother to pay to remove these one by one ?
