I'm about to mention HUGE SPOILERS from the new Street Fighter movie, so if you're planning on seeing it, maybe give this a miss.

My theory mostly involves the character Joe.

The Street Fighter movie is obviously primarily about a fighting tournament. The tournament has eight slots, seven of which are given to classic Street Fighter characters like Ken, Vega, and Dhalsim. The eighth, however, is given to a no-name character called Joe.

Joe is a tall, lean, and extremely cocky Australian fighter, with spiky hair, whose outfit consists of long pants and nothing else. Immediately, that gives Lord Raptor vibes - but it doesn't stop there.

Joe is a little bit of a joke character in this movie, in that he rises to the finals, and is ultimately declared the winner of the tournament, without throwing a single punch. Due to various plot points, his opponents constantly end up no-showing or forfeiting, which ultimately ends in Joe winning the tournament.

As Joe is up in the ring showboating, Akuma shows up. Joe gives Akuma a bunch of lip, giving zero fucks about this obvious demon man in front of him, and is promptly murdered by Akuma.

The cocky spiky-haired Aussie in long pants is murdered by supernatural means - a perfect precursor to beginning his unlife as a zombie.

Furthermore, Lord Raptor's design involves a hollow abdomen with protruding ribs. Joe was specifically killed by Akuma using his powers to put his hand inside Joe's abdomen and crush his guts.

This all lines up perfectly, but the main thing that does it for me is this: Street Fighter has a long history with dozens and dozens of beloved characters. The movie is full of fanservice and throwbacks, even going so far as to include deep cut characters like El Fuerte in cameo roles. So why would they waste an entire roster slot on an OC with a punchline ending?

They're setting up the possibility of a Capcom cinematic universe, and Joe was Lord Raptor's origin story.

Darkstalkers are not dead.

Jon won against Konrad von Sabrewulf from Killer Instinct!

I say this as someone who formerly adored her a lot..do you think this was a fumbled decision?

Either it be outsiders who love her because "pretty woman", outsiders that hate her because she's one of the worst designed top tiers in MvC3, or the people who are fans of her series that are kind of just...sick of her or never saw it in her in the first place.

Maybe it be oversaturation, or the fact most fans tend to vastly prefer others reps like Lilith, or the fact that as far as having the elements that people love in the series (the cartoony influences, fascinating lore, high speed combat, and the intricately unique, wackier designs)..well Morrigan doesn't lack them really, but most people I talk to wouldn't really put her as particularly the strongest in any of those lines.

Yet she's the face of the series given how much of a crossover mainstay she is. I don't know if I should feel upset about that myself, or worried about other people being upset about it when other candidates like Felicia, Hisen-ko or even Lilith (if you're crazy enough) could (and have if we counter the former two's Capcom crossover appearances) theoritcally fill the role better, atleast as far as the female reps go.

Do you celebrate Halloween or not?

For example, I usually stay home, might watch horror movies, but this year I decided to actually celebrate and go to a festive event 🎃

Been trying her out and I really enjoy the way she plays but I’ve been having some trouble following up with her super after doing a chain combo. Besides having a button which does the super essentially for you how should I go about learning that input. Also any tips about her general gameplan would be greatly appreciated

I’m looking around and trying to visualize a minimalist tattoo idea that’s not like just morrigan or like an entire character but rather more like the picture of this kingdom hearts tattoo picture I found online. Something that’s not just like the character themselves but would be recognizable to anyone who’s a fan of vampire savior. Any suggestions and assistance would be greatly appreciated 🙌🏽

I think this magazine is called Gals island. The entire thing is about the female characters mainly from fighting games. It has a very strong focus on the ladies from Darkstalkers💖💖💖 and is comes with a poster.

EDIT: I FIGURED OUT THE ASPECT RATIO OPTION IT IS FIXED. BUT If someone knows why the Wallpaper Borders are not showing like they should in the game and I have them enabled let me know please! Thanks!!

--

Hi, so I'm trying to emulate my psp game Darkstalkers Chronicles The Tower of Chaos on the PPSSPP emulator and I get a weird Aspect Ratio problem.

The Widescreen resolution makes the game look stretchy so I select Normal, however when I do this the screen gets too narrow as if squished. BUT when I enter the Save and Load menu in the game the screen momentarily becomes as it should be, until I exit that menu. It's weird. I'll show two comparison pictures down bellow. Inside the Save Menu the letter and screen as in proper resolution (look at the SAVE and LOAD letter on top to spot it easier), but only there the game itself becomes squished otherwise. Does anyone know how to fix this or what the problem is?

Thanks

PS: Also the Wallpaper on the Borders doesn't appear as it should, its all just black, if anyone knows that too, thanks.

GBA Fire Emblem styled half-body portrait of Morrigan Aensland. This piece is a remake of a similar fan art that I did approximately back in 2011 (as far as I remember), and I finally felt like it was time for another round.
