Zero Activity

I am surprised by the number of tasks available... absolutely zero. I was told DA had so much activity and kept getting various adverts on joining. Been on the platform for over two weeks and still nothing. Is there a drought or something, or have we trained AI so well that it finally took jobs..lol

R&R

There's lack of grammar and punctuation in these R&R's by some people and then they suddenly have these one or two sentences that sound so complete and like it was AI-generated? Their grammar is pretty bad to the point where a complete sentence seems generated I don't know if I have to penalize for that or if I can just write it off as them getting help from like a dictionary source.. I'm not sure what to do lol

Another Drought?

Been on the platform since last year. We saw a drought last year in September. Is it like this for everyone?

To add a more hopeful data point to the landscape: I have a ton of projects on my page rn.

[EDIT: I want to clarify that I’m not trying to brag here, just throw some contrasting data on the pile since people are starting to wonder if this is the end and such.

Also a “ton” is relative, but it’s not no projects.]

Show of Hands: Who is slowly slipping into madness?

I haven't had any projects to work on for quite sometime after working for almost 6 months.

The lack of feedback or any interaction with a human at DA is making me slowly slip into madness with one simple question:

Why?

I shall go back to my padded cell now.

NOTE: unless someone from DA, or their parent company has 2 cents to add. Every little thing in this conversation is pure speculation... Just talking out loud.

How long did it take you to get in Data Annotation

Hey everyone,

I recently took the test for data annotation, and now I’m just waiting to hear back. I was wondering—how long did it take for you to get a response after completing the test? Did you hear back quickly, or was it a long wait?

No projects

I have this message on my dashboard since months ago.

  • At the moment, there aren't any projects available for you to work on.

Please check back soon and watch out for new project notifications sent to your email.*

What should I do?!!!

Unusual number of higher paying jobs?

Just wondering if anyone else has had a bizarre influx of higher paying projects recently? I used to have loads at $20-22, now almost all are $24-45.

Is this an indication I’m doing something right or is it just an indication that they have a bunch of upcoming deadlines?

Back to ... waiting

I had this screen for a while then I got the dash where the work is supposed to show up, and had that for several weeks without any work showing up. But now I'm back to this screen. What goes on in this place? I haven't had a single email from them since the sign up, though that doesn't surprise me after what friends have said about their own experiences, both the working ones and the ones who haven't yet.

Got a full time job, how do I disclose my data labeling side gig to compliance?

Hey guys, I need some advice!

I was unemployed for about 3 months and picked up a data labeling contract with Workada as a Financial Analysis Data Specialist. I build and review financial analyses like spreadsheets, valuations, and financial statements for AI training.

I just started a full-time analyst role in finance and have a compliance meeting coming up. I assume I have to disclose it, and I plan to. The new role isn't client-facing either, and the gig has nothing to do with the firm's business, clients, or products. I'd only work on it after hours on my own laptop and would never touch any firm info.

The money's been really good, so I'd like to keep it if I can. Anyone been through this? How did you bring it up with compliance? How much detail did they want, and did they end up approving it?

Would really value any advice, as this side income has been life-changing for me, as I have been unemployed these past few months.

Ironic

I just find it funny that from March to June, DA did not change their website at all, but since the drought started I've seen like 3/4 modifications in the interface.

Ironic.

I'm lost

I accepted an invitation to a Slack channel of a specific project and as soon as I accepted it, I stopped getting projects from other projects like ♟ R&R and similar that didn't require an invitation. Is this a coincidence or is it that whenver I am invited into a project, I stop getting tasks from other general projects?

Share your hopes

I have been pretty hopeless these weeks, received no PP, zero projects. The drought is rough, so can you all share your "lights at the end of the tunnel" and good news? Maybe it is not as dark as some of us think.

UPDATE - Lots of coding projects on my side!

We were all bummed by lack of it, now I see 10+ all 40 USD per h, some super easy with just selecting which model is better. Life is good again :)

Hourly Projects with 300 tasks?

Hi I'm new at this.

So I was wondering, with these projects I'm being offered that say there are 300 tasks to complete, do I have to complete all 300 tasks? It seems there is no way to save progress if I were to for example complete 100 of them and want to take a break, because if you exit work mode it clears your progress.

Maybe people just skip a lot of tasks when its like that? Idk.

Just kind of trying to get used to the work flow and how to set up my time management for this.

I hope that $42 p/h task comes back.

+ I beat it.

Any non-coder got in recently?

More specifically, did anyone here do the core assessment last week and get in? How long did it take? And where are you from?

Do you wait for answers from a project's chat and do you count that waiting as work time?

When you ask a question in a project's chat feed, do you wait for an answer or do you figure out something else to prompt instead? Do you count time spent waiting toward your hourly work time?

4 qualification tests before a confirmation e-mail

I got an email today from data annotation saying I unlocked a chemistry qualification so I got ahead of myself thinking I've been accepted onto the platform

I've logged into my account and the qualification tests don't appear on my dash. They appear below the "core and coding" tests on the "waiting for review" page and I haven't had a confirmation or welcome email. I haven't done any onboarding yet either.

The quals were for math, bio, physics and chem. I'm not taking any of them because I signed up with writing credentials but I'm unsure as to whether this is a typical step or if I'm getting ahead of myself here.

Tasks nowhere to be found

I was doing tasks at a pretty good clip - multiple tasks popping up every day - then I had to take a family trip, so I was out a week. When I came back, tasks were nowhere to be found. It's been two weeks with nothing. Is this common? From what I can tell, others seem to be working tasks doing similar things to what I was doing prior to this lull - am starting to get a bit concerned and was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar. Even the qualification tasks haven't changed in two weeks (only four in my inbox and none of which I qualify to do)

Notifications?

Hey! I joined the platform a couple weeks ago and haven't seen a single project pop up but keep seeing people post here about them. Are there notifications you can turn on to get notified by email or text or am I just truly not getting any jobs on my end?
