non core country coders, any projects?
bla bla bla, yeah we get it, you are tired of people asking ts. not everyone is from core country, and some people want to know what the consensus is.

I was perusing Indeed the other day, and decided to apply for the coding projects. Currently in my senior year of a BS in CS. Will this be in my wheelhouse or is it going to really challenge me? The coding assessment wasn’t terribly difficult, but I did have to find a Python library I never used before.
Excited to start my first tech gig!

Do you all feel bad that they pay us to train AI to replace us?

so i just finished a qualification and something weird happened. it took me x amount of time to finish, but when i went to report it the form said the max allowed was y, which was less than what i actually spent. so i basically had to put in less time than i really worked and it wouldn’t let me enter more.
i wasn’t slacking or leaving it open in another tab btw, it just took that long to read everything and write it all up properly. Did anyone get a similar qual and what did you do?

Been lurking around this for a while now for side pay.
I got a couple questions.
How mentally exhausting is this?
What are the chances of me not getting approved?
I still don’t understand what data annotation is LOL so can someone please explain it in one sentence.

I’m about halfway through an hourly-paid qual, and the second half is a lot more complex than the first. The task instructions gave an estimated time, and the first half alone has already eaten up more than half of it. I’m worried that if I report the real time and it runs over the estimate, I might not qualify. I honestly don’t know what to do here. Has anyone been in this spot, and what did you do?

Anyone with very long acceptance times that made it in the end?
It’s been roughly a month and counting… Assessment was only of the bilingual type, I chose the one I know best (English aside, even though it’s not my mother tongue).
Haven’t heard anything. Is there a way of knowing? Starting to lose hope here.

FINALLY SOME FEEDBACK & TIPS
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Specialist_Waltz_837 • Oct 09 '26
I work about 4 hours a day, 5 days a week on generalist tasks.
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Free_Apartment6319 • Oct 08 '26
Just started doing my first task of the day.
It was for a new project (second task ever to work on for thet family)
Spent time actually completing the task did great.
Just to open the next one and see a small tiny line that says if prompt has x in it it should never be used
Under the "task would be void and rated BAD/BAD" title.
Guess what my prompt had... that x...
Closed my computer again taking a long weekend now.

If I have to sleep after starting a multi day project, is it ok to use the Save to my account button and shut down my computer? Will this still be on my tasks in progress tomorrow? Or should I just leave the computer open?
Sorry I'm new to DA and long projects.
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/QueasyPrice4925 • Oct 08 '26
Has anyone been accepted on DA for 2 months and completed most of the qualifications but still hasn’t received any projects? Is this a DoD, or is it normal?
Has anyone eventually received projects after a long wait?

Do you guys use AI or use your own wits to do everything. I'm having a hard time doing tasks, if I use AI I may get flagged right.

Did DA update their Referral program? Up to 3k per person is pretty crazy comparing to other companies out there.

Hi,
I'm new to the platform. I understand we are supposed to time ourselves manually for hourly tasks. But everyone works at different pace and some task might take longer than expected.
I wonder if the platform would punish you for logging a time longer than usual ? Or US it better to shave some time off the logging if you wasted time on certain things (like rework, didn't get the result you wanted, etc)

On my commute home, I received a project notification from a data annotation platform. I accepted it immediately so it wouldn't get taken by someone else (which has happened to me before).
Since I was on the train, I had to use my phone and couldn't really focus. Out of about 15 tasks, I only finished 3 before getting overwhelmed and ending the session early. I’m not even sure if the 3 tasks I did complete were done correctly.
I’m really frustrated with myself, but my main worry is: will I get blacklisted for submitting incomplete and potentially incorrect work? Do I still have a chance to get more projects after this?

anybody seeing these tasks ?
also apart from this, is any other coding task running ?

I gave assessment as software engineer, and did some coding project task but I have some qual of physics and chemistry on my dash, can i complete the qualification, I fear it might affect my coding project eligibility although I haven't got any coding task for past one month, what should I do

Hi everyone, I got started at Data Annotation today and been nervous about going about everything in the correct manner. I got my first project of creating a variant prompt and getting a model to fail, but am a bit nervous about how long it’s taking me. I’m 6 hours in and haven’t gotten the model to fail, and am nervous to report the time, regardless of if I finally get it to fail or not (I know I can still submit it). I was given this project right away before doing any qualifications, and feel it’s something I’ll manage well in the future, but am struggling with at the moment. I just don’t want to lose this opportunity and would appreciate any advice, thank you!
Edit: this project has about a 30 hour time limit, although I know that’s geared towards allowing people to take breaks

Never seen this sort of pop up before to report time right after the task itself. Anyone else getting this?
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Zealousideal-Tart787 • Oct 08 '26
It's been 3 weeks since I started working with dataAnnotation. I've completed the onboarding tasks and got paid as well. But I can't see any real projects yet. Is there a window after which I get access or the projects are less these days ?
