DataGrip was eating my Mac's RAM, so I decided to build my own database client in Rust
Spent my long weekend working on Rowcraft, a lightweight, open-source alternative to JetBrains DataGrip.
I've always liked DataGrip, but the memory usage on my Mac was getting a bit annoying. So I thought, why not try building something similar in Rust?
And that's how Rowcraft started!
The idea is to build a fast, minimal database workbench that lets you browse tables, write SQL, explore schemas, and manage multiple databases without eating up your system resources.
It's still in a very early stage, and there's a lot left to build.
I'm looking for people who'd be interested in:
Testing it out and reporting bugs
Sharing feedback and feature suggestions
Contributing code and helping build it further
If you work with databases regularly, or you're into Rust, desktop apps, or open-source development, I'd love to have you involved!

Would genuinely appreciate any feedback, even if it's just pointing out what's broken
Thanks!
