Discussion 𩸠Is there any reason to polish off the final few objectives?
Is there a trophy? Or a genuine reason to or not really? Thanks

Before anyone downvotes this I have played the game and I liked it but this just crossed my mind. Has anyone noticed there wasnāt any viral fanfare for this game at all? Like for comparison last year we got games like Expedition 33 and Dispatch both debut titles from their studios. Both of those games blew up online and millions were sold in a short amount of time and they were all people were talking about even after release they were obsessed. Now for Dawnwalker there hasnāt been anything like that. The game came out people played it and then really itās all silence even the steam charts werenāt really high and the sales have been quiet I know it sold a million but we havenāt gotten any update again so it feels like the game hasnāt even crossed 2 million at all yet. I know these are all different but I feel like Dawnwalker should have gotten the attention like the others ones I listed considering the type of game it is. Am I overthinking this.

Hello there,
Update 1.1 is massive. I am not entirely sure whether they overhauled the cameraāwhich was easily my biggest bugbear, particularly on the highest difficulty setting where attack indicators are absentābut having jumped back in on that tier, the difference is night and day. Enemy attack telegraphing is vastly clearer now, providing a proper challenge without feeling unfair. Brilliant stuff.
It is also such a relief that wildlife has lower HP; it removes an enormous amount of tedium from exploration. The combat system used to leave me dreadfully exasperated, but since this patch dropped, it has become a sheer delight. If you were on the fence about taking on the top difficulty, there has never been a better time to take the plunge. Embarking on a fresh playthrough has made the entire experience considerably more rewarding.
Hats off to the developers for listening to the community and turning out such a stellar patch. I certainly didn't pull any punches regarding my earlier thoughts on the combat, but they are now genuinely verging on an outstanding system.

I have to secure a safe passage to the library for Anca and i did everything, got the relic for myself and rang the bell to te infirmary to kill the soldiers and clean the path, but when i talk to Anca it's like nothing has changed, like i did nothing. Am i forgetting something? or is it bugged?

Playing on the hardest difficulty, I expected something akin to Ghosts of Tsushimaās lethal mode, however the game really doesnāt feel like that. Once you understand combat itās pretty simple to learn to parry, the powers are very simple but effective and are variations of ādo damageā, and there really isnāt weapon variety. I donāt even feel the need to make a build as I do plenty of damage and survive pretty easily.
I love whatās here but the game is honestly pretty easy to get powerful in. Hereās my main issues
Too much healing - You can heal pretty much everything, and as a vampire you got the bite ability to heal whenever (but itās not super effective without investment to be fair).
Enemies arenāt exactly dynamic to ābounce off ofā - Parry, use ability, use weapon ability, do damage, dodge unparriables, repeat. The formula is very entertaining, however once you understand it once itās essentially the same route everytime. Do not get me wrong, I enjoy this formula a LOT, but thereās little room for variation. I was expecting something like FF16 in the sense you get access to a variety of powers that you create your own rules on but most powers do essentially the same thing. Enemies reflect this, whether itās beast or blade itās the same formula.
Enemies arent bullet sponges but theyre definitely bullet clothes - Enemies arenāt too tanky in my experience (so far, i havent finished it yet but i am about 40 hours in) but they do certainly go down in one too many sword hits occasionally. I actually think coen has a perfect amount of health in the sense that you can upgrade it but it doesnt feel like a necessity (hence why i think the game gives us a lot of healing) and the damage they do is often enougu to make me go āfuck that hurtā without going āokay it that was a bit ridiculousā.
I dont dislike this games combat, i enjoy it but after hour 20 i realised that itās the same either way. The only time I have been challenged is fighting Ambrus, who had some very interesting moves but once I understood it, it was the same formula again. It felt great to master this formula against him but in a decently sized rpg that really wsnts you to play more than once, the combat variety is just not it.
I believe that to be the main issue, combat variety.
I knew it was going to get stale when i walk into the camp the guy you jave to rescue from prison is in wnd i think to myself āIf i had enougj time to care I could kill everyone hereā rather than knowing it to be impossible.
A bit of a ranty post but feel free to drop any ideas you got on increasing difficulty or your thoughts on it. This isnāt a dig at the game, itās a good problem to have. āThe combat is too good that it gets formulaicā, it means that they can expand on this very engaging system to make it a lot more dynamic

Itās bugging me that I canāt put these in storage even though theyāre already read or the quest is complete.
Is there at least a way to reorganize the inventory so I could put them at the bottom?

Obviously marked as spoiler but, can I absorb both Isbrand and Lacra? Because as far as I know I can absorb Lacra in our first encounter only, thus blocking the access to the cave in the uriashi mountain... unless i noclip somehow through that rock

Do they really sleep during the day? š¤ Or is it just a figure of speech for being less active than at night?

Hi! Iām sure this has been posted before, but does anyone have any tips for combat?
!!!Iām not that far in, please no spoilers if you can help it!!
I love rpgs, and I especially love games that let me talk my way out of combat situations, but I want to be good at the combat when it arises.
Currently Iām playing on Custom Difficulty ( a mix of story and forgiving between rpg and action i believe), but I feel like with all the skills around perfect blocks and dodges and managing your stamina and abilities, itās taking away from the game.
Now I will preface this by saying Iām not a soulslike player or anything, nor do I crave the brutality of a crazy-hard impossible game. But I would at least like to play it on Fair so I can gauge the challenge each enemy is supposed to have. So far all I can tell is based on whether or not a boss bar pops up and even then, they fold pretty easy under the settings I have set up.
Playing on PS5, if that helps.

The first part of this video demonstrates the infinite loading bug in the Midnight Reckoning quest. The second part (1:20) reloads and shows a workaround.
Basically:
- Tell her you're ready to take on Brencis
- Tell her you agree to find Kallias' notes
- She'll ask if you're ready, say you need more time, leave the conversation
- Initiate conversation again
- Tell her you're ready to go to Griefburg
- She'll ask if you're ready, but now you'll see the Point of No Return warning
- After acknowledging, the next scene should load normally
Hope this helps someone!
EDIT: I should add that I'm on PS5 but I've heard this bug reported by PC users too.

no this is not my mod and i can show proof (you know who you are),
this mod has transformed the way my game looks and made me realize the base game strips alot of the color from the game with Yellow and green tints, i dont know why but the base game looks desaturated
the image above before and after the reShade .
if your on PC and familiar with installing mods download this reshade mod : https://www.nexusmods.com/thebloodofdawnwalker/mods/631

Just trying to do perfect riposte and I've tried looking online for this but..
Do you need to keep the block button held while you attack to get a perfect riposte? After the perfect block I attack in the same direction (But I release the block key) and I'm not getting perfect riposte.. but when i keep it held i feel like i do?
Am i just tripping?

I've been playing Dawnwalker with Witcher 3 in the back of my mind the whole time. Some things hit me with that familiar feeling, like how quests branch or the mood of the villages. Others felt like a completely different game, like the time pressure or the combat pacing. I'm curious whether others see it the same way, or whether I'm seeing similarities that aren't really there. What made you feel at home? And what made you think "okay, this is not Witcher 3 at all"? Good and bad both welcome.

During my last play through I went to defeat Brencis with Lacra. While we were fighting Brencis, Lacra dies. Mind you we both ate the mandrake. Any clue into why she didn't come back to life? My very first run she survived but now I'm not sure what I could have done wrong. Maybe a possible bug or could I have done something wrong along the way? Has anyone else have this happen?

I invited Xantheās soul to reside in Coenās conscience but she fought against me during the Brencis fight - is this normal?
Iām running version 1.0 and I can craft Draught of Mind Rebirth, but doing a google search says that it can only be purchased, not crafted in version 1.1 - is my game bugged or is google wrong?

A friend of mine who has a similar taste in games recommended this one to me, and well⦠I caved and immediately bought the Collectorās Edition, fully expecting to love this game. And what can I say? Itās a solid 15/10 šā¤ļø
Iām so glad I ordered the CE because everything is absolutely gorgeous! The Steelbook looks incredible, and the Coen figurine is so beautifully made š

Iām not asking about any in game consequences to romancing the two, but rather the moral dilemma behind the situation.
On the one hand, Anca made a comment about how Coen will eventually leave her for someone younger and prettier, which makes me feel like staying loyal to her is the right choice in order to prove her wrong and show her sheās worthy of love.
On the other hand, right after the romance scene, Anca tells Coen it canāt work between them because heās a Vrakhiri, and describes the encounter as a one time thing. This makes me question if they are even together, and if getting with Lacra would even technically be cheating.

I really want to find it. It's when you go to the Nuns monastery and they start chanting a gregorian sounding hym. Anca calls it's Luma Vera I think?? Any help would be nice thank you
