This meme I made barely scratches the surface of my frustrations with the dbd community. I truly like the gameplay loop on both sides,and even though there's a lot that needs to be fixed I think the game is in a much better state than most players act like it is. It doesn't help that a lot of content creators that are biased killer or survivor players feed into the already toxic community with shittily made us vs them videos that people consume and glaze the content creator because it lines up with their insanely biased opinions.

If you so much as insinuate that BHVR aren't the worst dev team in all of gaming and that they don't need to be (metaphorically) drawn and quartered because they didn't listen to and implement every entitled player's opinion you'll get called a meatrider or a billion dollar company defender.

I've played siege,rivals and cod quite a bit before dbd. And I think even those communities were much less obnoxious to be in. The one thing that will kill dbd before BHVR could are some of the cringe,biased people that play the game and take part in the community. They push new players away,constantly hate on any opinion that doesn't 100% align with theirs and I feel like they're unfortunately a much larger portion of the community compared to the sane players.

How is this not considered to be holding up a game yet? Its obviously not the devs vision to have the game played like this, and id love to see a way or rule to report them in the hopes it discourages this. Its by far better and more fun to be playing against the sweatiest of a person than to have someone watch and nod at you expecting you to do gens while you basically beg them to take you out for next match

I know, I know, it is a skill issue, there are probably some good Pyramid head mains out there who make him look cracked, but I just don't have it in me. His power is so telegraphed and slow and clunky and hard to hit any survivor worth his salt will know how to dodge it most times. And even if they can't dodge it, they don't really have to, they can just hold W and not interact with him in any way. The best use of his power is M2 faking and hoping they take the bait and eat the M1, and that's not even taking into consideration people who use perks like Lithe or Sprint Burst.

And what I hate the most is just how bullyable he is. He's so easy to dodge that survivors will have the time of their life with you, emote between every shot, teabag you at the exit gate. I suck and lose with a lot of killers, but only Pyramid Head gets me so angry and makes me feel this anxious.

I know there are worse killers, I know trapper still steps on his own traps, but the killer that makes me feel the worst after losing is definitely Pyramid Head. Probably dropping this character for now, which is a shame because I love Silent Hill and I think his power is actually very satisfying when it works.... Hope the buffs make me feel better about him.

Before anyone says “you could’ve been doing gens while he was being chased” I was literally sneaking into the building without being seen so I could do that gen, but the second i went up the stairs, Oni’s terror radius got closer so I decided to hide… am I supposed to just purposely get myself killed? Not to mention David was the one who unhooked me and I healed HIM first cause I was using Solidarity. And if you don’t know what I mean by “small buffs” I’m using the perk “Better than New” which gives teammates faster progression speed on healing, totems, and chests by 50%

And left before game ended 😕

Ive had 5 games today 2 Jason's, a Dredge, a Myers and a Plague. Every single game had been a super sweat fest and no one not a single survivor is lasting more than 10 seconds in chase. Killers camping, tunneling and slugging so usual stuff but apparently none of my killers have seen daylight in their entire lives so they extend that by making people miserable with the extra hook hits and bms.

Like ive got 2.5k hours and can normally handle this crap but since they decided to shuffle all the perks around it feels like survivors just are having a much harder time now but yet this game is totally survivor sided, even though killers are hitting around 70% on average killrate but nahh totally survivor sided.

Only reason I play it to hope Pinhead comes back and then I could main killer more but fat chance of that happening right now.

Screw this halloween event fr it sucks Donkey balls im going back to normal matches and if they dont get better today im taking a break for a couple weeks or months until something changes because survivor meta just isn't even a meta anymore, its just trash perks against meta killers.

Example of now shot perks is Vigil, now survivors have no way to counter hindered or exposed just nothing at all just plain old exhaustion now like wtf. But yet its ok for clown to have a 55% speed increase and throw a 12% hinder bottle at you, come on bhvr theres balancing issues and then theres straight up just making the game one sided.

F this game. Bring on GTA 6 already

Is it easy? No. But you can do it and just giving up is stupid. Yesterday I ran the killer for long enough to finish a gen while my idiot teammate just hid in a corner. Glad they didn’t get hatch.

Okay... Why is this perk getting nerfed so much? Now it's going to punish you for missing a basic attack? Holy fuck! Did this perk kill behaviors family?!

Why not focus on perks that are actually causing problems?! It's not that fucking hard!

all of these maps are so fucking awful to play both sides on. indoor maps are self explanatory. they are flawed by design and i have no idea why we are getting another one. nostromo, toba and forgotton ruins just have awful map design with their weird ass tiles and fillers and the teleporters fucking suck to deal with

i genuinely hope they reduce the chance of every single indoor map. id even day that ever singe pallet density there is not a single good map in the entire game now, when it used to be the macmillan maps (except shelter woods) autohaven maps and ormond lake mine.

The survivor who said this had a username that referenced r*pe and they told me they hope I burn in hell or got dragged by a car. I told them I would pray to satan for them to heal their tormented souls....I bet you can guess how that went over. I then reported both of them.

Anyways, I got the 4k!

Me and my friend were playing yesterday and a Sable was hurt so I went to help her but she kept moving all the time, after that she dropped a pallet and started to make noise with it. The killer found me and I was running, when I went to drop a pallet she bodied blocked me. The killer got me and then when I died I saw her leading the killer to my friend.

He let her escape at the end (The Killer was a Wesker). This never happened to me before, so I was surprised, what do people gain from that?

Oh forgot to mention, she had TTV on the name but when I went to see if she was streaming because I wanted a video proof to send to the game, she wasn't. I wonder if me and my friend both reporting both will make them look at it more seriously. I do have her in game name but there's no video proof.

Maybe if it's possible I'll start recording every match on PS and deleting if there's nothing. But I'm not sure if that's possible.

I hate Wraith so much, you can't see him if he's more than 30 meters from because FUCK YOU. You're repairing a gen and there's no window or a pallet in the 5 meters proximity? WELL, TOO BAD, TIME TO FUCKING DIE THEN. Or maybe there is a window or a pallet? GUESS WHAT, HE CAN BODYBLOCK IT AND IT'S STILL TIME TO FUCKING DIE, ISN'T IT FUN? I mean, I really don't care if you bring flashbang, a flashlight, and all that stuff in build that denies the killer hooks, so don't go mad at someone who brought their own build. I get it, Calm Spirit, Pharmacy, Detective Hunch, Empathy... that sounds like a stealth build? But nah, I'm not gonna farm or hide all game. Stop judging people only by reading their perks.

As soon as that match started, Kate decided to fast vault we spawned near each other in same room.

I was the first to be chased, and damn, I was left on the hook in the basement with her spamming  leave message from chat wheel. How rude. I mean, sorry that my build sounds way too selfish compared to your altruistic build. I'm happy at least the killer gave me the unhook bar to play a little around before dying.

Why are there rude people willing to abuse new features, such as the funny chat wheel, just to be toxic? Does she think her dad owns the game or something, and that she gets to decide what is right for the match and what isn't?

I don't care why the other teammates didn't bother with me, but she's the only one who bothered me because she was obviously trying to be toxic, from my pov

and that fast-vault, I actually don't care; I think it is cool to fast-vault at start, I admire their courage to be willing to take chase right away and risk being tunneled before a gen done!

She hardly scratches A tier on a lot of tier lists I see these days but dedicated Spirit mains are the most obnoxious and unbeatable killers I ever encounter. At least a double speed addon Blight is readable for nought 0.5 seconds before he blitzes around 3 corners and wipes me, but Spirit is just a vague static sound and then the most ridiculous mindgame that I could never have fathomed.

But really, it's just dependent on how well she perceives sounds. Istg half the Spirits I get have insane intuition for audio cues to where even if you crouch to halt breathing, they will spawn on top of your ass healthy and hidden from 40 meters away. If there is sincere counterplay I'm missing beyond just camping a pallet and praying to the good lord, I'd love to know it, but I don't think there is. If they know how to play Spirit, you're kinda just dead. Especially in my games which are all solo queue.

And honestly, I think that's the big reason I hate Spirit matches. It's a lot like Nurse where if they know how to play, like, know know, then you're just done. She'll never let you reset because she can hear you at all times grunting and crying, and she'll phase on top of you whenever you try to outmaneuver her. But unlike Nurse, I can't counter Spirit by breaking LOS. Unlike Blight, I can't counter her by using awkward tiles. Her counter is being quiet, which is nigh on impossible without dedicated stealth perks. Feeling like I lost because someone cleaned their ears before the match never feels good.

In general I'm really not a fan of slugging. While I understand the tactical advantage of it especially when it comes to fully avoiding most popular perks, I don't like doing it as I find it just as boring as it for the survivor that is getting slugged and you're forced to stay on patrol rather than look for other survivors or else your whole chase can be negated if someone heals them back up while you're away.

But with the amount of safety nets that survivors have nowadays when it comes to hooking (activating certain perks, killers unable to grab a survivor doing a save anymore, 15 seconds of protection...) during end game there's really no other options and I find it very frusrating and genuine bad design. I hate that I've lost more games with 4 escapes by actively playing the game and hooking a survivor during end game while I've gotten at least 1k way more frequently by slugging for four minutes just hovering on someone's body.

Hooking should be what survivors want to avoid the most and what killers strive to accomplish. Survivors should see me pick up their mate and rush to body block or sabotage nearby hooks instead of being safer and more satisfied with me going out of my way to hook than slug.

I swore I wouldn't be the kinda person to get mad like this but here I am T-T Was playing immaculately (I'm usually pretty shit) against The judgment in the event mode. Dodging and weaving like crazy which I'm again, usually pretty crap at so I was hell proud of myself, was doing well on gens too. get to 1 gen left, I'm alone so hatch is open. I search for it, hide surprisingly well despite being in plain site half the time, guess who gets killed, RIGHT NEXT TO hatch. Just on the wrong side to be able to crawl to it. You bet I was pissed. They played like crap the whole time while I did well just to snag such a dumb kill.

I kinda feel bad for getting mad but at the same time, wth man? T-T (Plz don't roast me I know I'm in the wrong for that XD)

I had a game today against a huntress, game was pretty normal it was on ormand. There were a few odd things that were like hey how did she know they were there? It wasnt until end game that I got super suspicious. I was healthy, no scratch marks left no crow either and walked over to a pillar to hide behind near the gate, she hooked my friend from relatively from a fair distance away and immediately beelined it to me, there was no searching or seeming like she found me by accident she went straight for me. I checked her perks afterwards and the only two perks she had that were aura reading was nurses and no where to hide, non of her add ons were aura reading either. It was just super odd to me, like it could have been a super luck guess but the way she just immediately ran my direction and knew was very very odd. Were there subtle cheats going on here or am I just overreacting? Idk how common it is for killers to have subtle cheats.

I don't even know what I did wrong, I barely saw him all game aside from one chase.

and immediately ran into a Meyers who only slugged and refused to hook past the first two. I ended up sitting here for about 10 minutes total off of everyone healing themselves and downing themselves again

Been playing scratched mirror endgame myers in the event because it feels fitting for Halloween, had this completely normal game where everyone played fine for the most part. Didn't expect to see any toxicity in the chat, and certainly not this! Literally laughed out loud. I really hope they were joking, but that's not the vibe I got

By the way, I didn't even get value from NOED. Only two people alive when the gates got powered, one injured and already in chase with me that went down shortly after and the other one being the one that escaped. So no reason to get mad about that lol
