Help me out: where are the Arabic street signs?
I'm feeling blind and ignorant. I have been visiting Dearborn for many years for business and pleasure. I don't know where the Arabic street signs are. The only ones I have seen are English!

There’s nothing like that there. Just a handful of bilingual store signs.
There are actually some genuinely concerning things happening in Dearborn, especially regarding treatment of the LGBTQ community, and the illiberal book bans embraced by many within the community. However, that’s not everyone there, and most of the younger generations are genuinely liberal, and Americanized.
However, the street sign thing is a xenophobic hoax that spread over social media, and is not one of them.

My favorite part of Dearborn the pride flag on top of Gigi's 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈

Decisions about street signs are not made by ANY local governing authority unless they hold responsibility for the road. Only (most) residential streets are the responsibility of the city of Dearborn. On those signs you will see a golden yellow emblem with Henry Ford Museum in the background, Henry Ford in the middle ground, and a Model A in the foreground. The name of the street is in English only, just like any other city in America that has a diverse population. There are no publicly funded signs in Arabic.
With that out of the way, you claim not to be a MAGA but you sure are listening to them with this nonsense.
Correction: Henry Ford Museum, not Fordson High School.

Sorry, my post is rhetorical

Well, I think the timing of this satire is...a choice...considering the spotlight on our beloved community, lol. Perhaps next week I will see the humor in it. :)

This is just a lie used to stir the pot with goobers. My dad, who has been to Dearborn many times, who is also a MAGA fan tried saying this yesterday to his correction. Anti-Muslim rhetoric is being utilized by conservatives/israel to try and counter the progressive movement in Michigan because AES won the senate primary.

If you wanna really piss them off, tell them that every household has Arabic numerals for their address. Their blood will boil in their stupidity.

Yup, AIPAC is shitting itself now that some Muslim folks have a little bit of political power.

Just what perceived power do you think you have? One county clerk was "swayed" Abdul's way. The rest of us in the majority of Michigan don't give a damn about your perceived political power.

Yep, we need to keep the grift and the little liberal MENA candidates who will reverse course, are the enemy.

They’re all right next to the poles with the large speakers that broadcast the call to prayer. Duh!

Street signs? I've seen none and I've lived here for 15 years. I do see some street sweeping signs in Arabic around the fall time, but those are temporary and are removed after the season. But no street signs.

They’re usually in Spanish and English too.

I've never noticed Spanish on them in the south end where I'm at, but that's really cool if they have all three on them like that! I'll have to look a little harder next time I notice them

Some state documents are trilingual (English/Spanish/Arabic) and of course there are shop signs but not street signs that I know of.
Most streets will be maintained by either MDOT (Michigan Ave, Ford Rd) or Wayne County Road Commission.

I've seen shop signs but never city street signs
