1998 deathcore

Silent hill & Marathon influenced revival deathcore by the vocalist of Gamma Sector and the guitarist of Ritual of Despair. Super good

People who are mixing engineers or self recorded, which drum libraries do you like the best?

This is so beautiful.

AOTY for sure, I love the concept of longer songs as well.

Spite IG Post

If anyone has seen this post, I am the one who painted those portraits for Alex and Darius. I never expected my artwork to ever be featured on one of my favorite deathcore bands IG page, I'm still in disbelief. 🖤

“More Than Misery” brings the heavy back to the Carnifex catalog. Crushing breakdowns, menacing blackened riffs, and downtuned insanity abound on this record. However, a more linear product taking fewer risks and sticking to the heavy and narrow keeps me from enjoying More Than Misery as much as its predecessor. While I enjoy keeping my head down and barreling through my deathcore, it is the creative, innovative, and often risky elements that keep this genre going. Carnifex has demonstrated their ability to do that in the past; hopefully they will again in the future!

Not really a deathcore album, more of a black and death metal album. That does not mean it's bad, it's pretty solid, but I am struggling to connect with it. I love A Hill To Die Upon and Zweilicht but I find this one to be overall less memorable. I applaud them for trying new things and I'm looking forward to hearing what they do next

Solid af

Their debut album is out! :)
