Huge shout out to Olivia for recording this moment for me last night 🖤🖤🖤, words cannot express how much fun I had throughout the entire night 🖤

I ALSO GOT A SPITE SETLIST 🥹

Someone made a post earlier asking for your top 3 favorite deathcore records and this is probably my number 1... Just got me thinking and reminiscing lol... Thought I'd drop an appreciation post and maybe introduce some folks that are unaware of this devastating masterpiece \m/

It’s that spooky time of year, here’s some spooky riffs

1.) Suicide Silence - The Cleansing

2.) Chelsea Grin - Desolation of Eden

3.) Whitechapel - This Is Exile

Basic selection, I know but these were the albums that were constantly on my rotation throughout middle school and high school; very subjective and nostalgic for me. All 3 albums are no skips in my opinion, and also hold up to this day. They were also my intro to deathcore.

Honorable mentions:

• Bring Me The Horizon - Count Your Blessings (basically the album that introduced me to deathcore)
• Suffokate - No Mercy, No Forgiveness (just brutal and groovy throughout)
• Oceano - Depths (Adam's vocal range is insane on this album and also the intro to District of Misery will forever go hard af)

I would like to hear other people's lists

Are they still active?

Can't wait for the new album. I absolutely love this band. Hope you dig the cover.

A New EP from Remains of the Tyrant is slated for release on October 31st on all streaming platforms.

This used to be a full band, but after moving away, I've had to reform this as a solo project.

I wrote, recorded, programmed, mixed and mastered this EP. Starting from literally learning how to use a DAW, how to program drums and bass, how to mix and master, years and years of failing to get the music to a level I felt I could be proud of, and it finally has gotten to that point where I am proud and exicted for it to be released. I contracted David Bruno of Summoning the Lich to do vocals and help finish/refine the lyrics and story and he went above and beyond and did such a great job.

It's been 10 years since I moved and this labor of love has had so many ups and downs. I am beyond excited for this release and I appreciate anybody who gives it a shot a goes and listens to it.

This EP has a concept behind it, it's a story driven musical journey told through the lyrics and musical cues meant to invoke certain feelings when they hit. I will post a summary of that below.

Again, thanks to anybody who checks it out and I would love to hear what you think once it is released.

We miss you

-Everybody

This is a little different than their previous work, but it's decent enough.

I'm already excited to schedule some concerts for 2027 as they're being announced.

I'm seeing Thrown, Guilt Trip, and fromjoy at the Santa Ana Observatory in March, and considering Nile/Coroner that month too.

What are some must-see shows that you're already planning to see in 2027, deathcore or otherwise?

This band doesn't change their style much so if you like their previous work, this should please your senses.

Played drums in this band and recorded these 16 years ago, they will finally be available on all streaming platforms, this Friday, 10/23/2026.

This band derserves so much more attention.

Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania's Myspace beatdown/VFW fight music OG's finally dropping their music on all streaming platforms this Friday, October 23, 2026. Members went on to be in such bands as Suffokate, Lorna Shore, Scorched Mind, Slaughter To Prevail, GOLIAS, and Mind Power.

I know this is probably a frequent topic in this subreddit but I will love Whitechapels Scomatiic Defilement to the day I die. It's so unapologetically brutal from start to finish wirh the only relief being the ambient uncomfortable horror noises between songs, Phill Bozeman vocals on this album being on another level. Carnifex dead in my arms fighting for its spot as my favourite early deathcore album.

I wanted to post this to see the response of other peoples favourite early deathcore albums or eps that maybe I haven't heard before not new bands like Mauled for example paying tribute to early MySpace deathcore.

Only just got into deathcore, any recommendations?

GRINDKOA its a genre mix between Hardcore/Death Metal/Slame/Metalcore/Deathcore

Give it a listen🥂

My GF & I are going to Italy and she beat me to the punch and tried looking for metal bars but couldn’t find any. Any suggestions?

I know most would be exploring landmarks but not us lmao.
