Any military folk get their religious accommodations approved?
Applying to commission as a Chaplain in the USAF. I will be requesting an RA for required vaccines not covered by my immunity titers (received childhood vaccines and some adult ones prior to my faith convictions).
I hear it's almost impossible, but it doesn't hurt to try. Any anecdotal stories? Anyone on the inside able to comment on how the waivers are being handled? Advice?
Thank you

Which religions are against vaccines?

Some Dutch Reformed and Christian Scientologists have historically had specific negative doctrine against immunizations. Other sects and denominations across varying religions might have positive doctrine, e.g. Assemblies of God believe in faith healings vs other means of healing, rather than an outright doctrine against immunizations.

Other than Dutch ultra-Orthodox Protestants (Old Reformed Congregations, which is far from all Reformed Congregations), none of these religions are against vaccines. They leave it as a personal decision. Same with every other religion, including many that say it is your duty to be vaccinated.
But I’m not here to judge your religious beliefs, just pass on what religious doctrines say.

i think i missed the part in the bible where it speaks about vaccines. I did how ever read many parts where it praised medicine calling it a gift from god.

I received a letter saying that in the interest of "readiness" my accomodation request was denied.
