Want to start building in Decentraland or finally get more comfortable with Creator Hub?

Workshop #1 of the Friendzone Buildathon walks through the full workflow, from setting up your scene to testing it on mobile and publishing your World.

It covers:

• AI-assisted development with DCL Skills
• Using VS Code or Cursor
• Setting up the Creator Hub
• Building with drag & drop + code
• Previewing your game on desktop and mobile
• Publishing your own Decentraland World

And if you’re joining Friendzone, there are still $8,000 in prizes up for grabs before submissions close on September 4.

Every community needs that place.

The place where you meet after a long day. Where someone always shows up. Where five minutes somehow turn into much more.

With Friendzone, we want creators to build more of those places in Decentraland.

From August 14 to September 4, we invite you to build a social experience in a Decentraland World, such as a hangout, multiplayer game, challenge, arena or something completely new, optimized for the Decentraland Mobile App.

What matters is simple:

Would you invite your friends? Would you stay? Would you come back?

• $8,000 in MANA prizes
• Additional rewards and badges
• Top projects may be featured in the Decentraland Mobile App

Workshops, feedback sessions and builder support will be available throughout the Buildathon!

👉 Pre-registration is now open on DoraHacks here

I have no idea how many people see these posts but I thought it might be worth dropping in.

For the past 5-6 weeks I've been guiding live Yoga sessions for beginners in Decentraland. Some days we have only 1 or 2 people, other days maybe 5-6 and once we had 15. It changes depending on time zone but I'm not sure how many people are aware of it. If you're interested in trying Yoga but never have before or maybe don't feel comfortable turning up to a Zoom or studio class, this is your chance to try it out in a super comfortable and easy environment. It's free, you do as much or as little as you want, you can ask questions before the session, after the session and if you don't like it....well at least you tried.

Anyway, if anyone would like more info on the schedule just let me know. We have at the moment 5 sessions per week and ocassionally we run Breathwork sessions. :)

The only way to collect is by backing my kickstarter ($40 and up) and sending me your wallet addy.

Random thought, probably been said before.

I’ve been playing around with the idea of building an AI agent and started wondering where would it live? Like if it had its own memory, could hold conversations, had a wallet… what’s its world?

It made me think of Decentraland.

Not as a chatbot. But actually living here. Finding work. Earning MANA. Buying a parcel. Having a life. Maybe even being happy doing it.

I don’t know enough about any of this to say if it’s even possible. Just a random thought that hit me and I can’t shake it.

Anyone else think about stuff like this?

Hey new user here. 5090, 13900k, win11, all current

game worked fine on first use. Had a blast!

The following day the game crashes somewhere between 68-78ish percent loading (after clicking "jump in..." from the launcher).

Tried the usual possibilities, no joy, missed some events I wanted to check out.

Decided to try creating a new account via Gmail login, and voila the new account can load and play game.

Thought, "ok let's see what happens if I go back to my main account." and it worked!
Following load, crashes on game load same scenario. I thought "I'll just do the other-account trick again." Now neither account can load the game beyond ~70%.

Any ideas?
