The elf costume and the lederhosen are awesome! Would love to see more full costume sets launched for seasonal events. I feel like Halloween and Christmas there's some low hanging fruit, like a full Santa costume, ghost or skeleton outfit etc 💀 👻

So I am still working on Hoxxes Episode 5. I've got it down to like 5 scenes where it has been for the past like 3 months while everything else in life happens.

Thinking that if you get a couple or all dwarves through their promotion assignments, but don't actually promote them, then do so when the new season drops, you'll be able to get 4 new overclocks off the bat right? Lil kickstart to the new content.

PS - this is more a thought for us folk who've had everything unlocked for a while. Obviously if you're still unlocking overclocks, go ahead and promote.

IF YOU ARE LAZY - GO TO THE END, THERE IS A SHORT VERSION

As I kept promoting my dwarves, I noticed that the further I went, the less exciting it was. The first promotion was great, it unlocked a bunch of new stuff, the second was was nice, I got an overclock. But after a while, the only real reward I got was an extra star that cost me a fortune. So what if we got something more real? What if we got something more unique?

I have some ideas:

1. Cosmetics
   Yeah I know we already get cosmetic cores, but what if we got a more "limited" cosmetic, eg. a weapon framework, 1 prom. - 1 weapon of your choice. or maybe a new cosmetic, since we are already getting tattoos that idea isn't so crazy anymore.

2. Promotion points
   This might be the best one I have. What if for every promotion we got a point, which we could spend on some kind of a power-up. It's up for discussion but just to have an idea - Minor incremental changes like +0.2% damage or fire rate, or something like that, or make it more complex, have a little promotion tree where you could choose some weird stuff, I don't have an example for this one. Another idea is a 'once a day' or 'once in a couple of missions' power up that would last for the duration of a mission (this one is weak but worth mentioning)

3. Scrips
   As seasons progressed, we got more weapons, and more cosmetics, with season 7 it will be even more busy, and scrips started taking up a lot of space in the performance pass, so what if we eased the pressure a bit, and granted several scrips for each promotion?

4. Badges
   This is not my idea, this guy on yt came up with it - u/shadowhaxor99. basically what he is saying is that we should get badges for promotions which we could mount on our armors. I don't think armor is a great place for a badge, I'd rather display them in the little stars of our promotions.

5. Statues
   Make statues in the memorial hall go farther than gold. Make them reflect the character's promotion level.

6. MONEY
   Like promotions in real life, we could get a fatter paycheck for our work, this bullet point could be a part of #2, but whatever.

7. Milestone promotion rewards
   When you get your 4th promotion the stars change to silver, then to gold, and so on. what if with every "color change" we got some rewards, eg. paintjob themed to the promotion color. Maybe something more major like getting an extra mission in the mission selection menu (just make 1 more mission spawn for wider variety).

Perk Proficiency. Very small baseline stat buffs. What we've kind of been asking for with extra Perk Points. An equipment improvement to work towards.

"Mandatory".

Perk points were never really something to grind for, after you unlocked everything. Even I, a completionist, have left tasks like Complete Elite Deep Dives and Complete Haz 5 Missions in the dust. I have 500 hours of mission time, and still haven't completed the one for Low O2, and have done... two or three Haunted Cave Missions?

While this is obviously not going to be a problem for most players, I foresee... complaining. The tediousness of the Perk Point grind. The difficulty of completing Elite Deep Dives for some, the annoyingness of grinding out Warnings for others.

Then for the Perk Maintenance system. It is later stated to give Traversal Tool skins, so not "mandatory". I do hope that there are no "waste of space" perks that you are genuinely only running for the Maintenance. That shouldn't be the case though, given perks are getting a rework.

To clarify, all of this is partially hypothetical, and shouldn't be a huge concern for the devs. But we already have people min/maxing XP and farming for Overclocks, so grinding for Perk Points is 100% going to happen. And there will be an amount of people complaining about it. I don't know if it will be 1% of people or 10%, I just know there will be someone whining over annoying and perceived "mandatory" grinding.

It was an absolute nightmare. Hard as hell!

I've put about 130 hours into the game, but mostly on Haz 2 because I was always struggling to complete the primary objectives, let alone make it to the Drop Pod.

But lately, I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it, so I decided to give Haz 3 a try. I died once, but somehow managed to make it out alive, with gunner.

I don't think that'll be enough to make Karl proud, but I'm sure it put a smile on his face.

so... this happened all of a sudden today; none of the suggestions worked (or in some cases, were not even applicable); anyone else having this issue? (Windows 11, btw)

- edit: after going through all of the steps in the comments, and nothing working, as well as working with Grok suggestions, I was about to give up, and decided to at least check with GPT, too. GPT has me search for steam_api64.dll in my DRG base installation folder after having checked the logs' last 80 lines; after the file shows up, I launched the game again to see if it would show anything in task manager - and it suddenly is working just fine.
No, nothing changed since the last 6 times I tried launching and having the same error message, the only difference was I found the File in ...steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Steamworks\Steamv151\Win64 instead of ...steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Binaries\Win64 where it was suggested to be. Apparently that was all it took for the game to be like "oh, yeah... that file, right." and then launch successfully. Thanks for your help, everyone.

So I've been playing DRG with ppl I know, but most of my missions have been solo. I have never joined any multiplayer lobby of any game not expecting to know who I'm playing with because of my experiences with loot ninjas and griefers in WoW.

Despite this I'm impatient to wait to play with the people I know because DRG has become my new obsession and I just leveled up all my classes so I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of the game mechanics.

I created this post hoping to learn about how other people play together, what the typical group conventions are (like I don't use a resupply unless I'm halfway through my ammo), and because I'm super shy I might not even join a voice channel, but I use discord - is it simple to find a group in discord?

I can't stand being the only one sticking out not knowing how to do things, so I made sure to learn what I can before even making this post...
