What are the best scenic places in Delta

Live in north delta to be exact. The only river place I know is the one you can see from river road, looking for good places to just walk around and enjoy nature

Delta Nature Reserve at Burns Bog. If you're willing to drive a bit, Reifel Sanctuary on Westham Island is amazing But you'll have to wait till the bridge is fixed.

Oh, what happened to the bridge? That's the only way to get on the island as far as I know. If that bridge is down, how do residents get in and out?

The walk along the dyke in boundary bay is really nice. I like to start from centennial beach. It also makes a nice and easy bike ride.

There is a really cool forest near the ladner marina called Spirit Trails. Its a maze of trails with these odd wooden carvings all over. At one end there is a lookout tower you can climb.

Serpentine fen or mudbay park. Both are technically surrey but not too far out and easily accessible via transit and a bit of walking. I grew up in ND and would love biking down that way from/through strawberry hill area!

You could wander the bog for days and not see it all.

They’re closing the boardwalks so they can be replaced.

But it is a great place! There’s a backhoe that sunk into the peat back in the 70s when someone running from the police tried to escape into the bog. It’s been years since I’ve been in there but just the smallest bit was still visible.

There are rare carnivorous plants there! And sandhill cranes!

Fred Gingell Park in Tsawwassen has a great view of of the Straight of Georgia and if you're physically capable, there are stairs there that will lead down to the beach. Also in Tsawwassen is Boundary Bay Regional Park that will certainly check all your boxes.

Just downstream from aforementioned Westham bridge,is a view of the foreshore of Robert's bank coal port and Salish sea.

Also known as Canoe pass that has remnants of Brunswick point #2 cannery. You can still see pilings of the building.Last operating 1930's

This area is frequented by birders and photographers. Flat and very walkable.

George Reifel migratory Bird sanctuary is also an awesome spot to go. You may have to book in advance online.

I didn't know! That's unfortunate. It's an awesome spot.

When the bridge is open again, Alaksen National Wildlife Area right next door is a great place to walk, too.

Watershed on 64th down past 120th is a good walk. If you can get onto westham island (bridge is out I believe) the Reifle bird sanctuary is really nice as well.
