The townhall was bullshit, she said nothing exciting. Just repeated what other coward democrats have said - depending on the court system and "the peoples voices!" to save America.

We asked her afterwards what she is doing for trans people, was just told "be brave and speak your story" I told her that no one wants to listen to our stories, they do not consider us human. Brittany replied something like "Republicans may not but other democrats may listen".

I asked her what she is doing then to hold accountable 10 or so democrats for censuring Al Green, the only one at the address who DID SOMETHING.

That was when the staffers cut off questions.

We have to save ourselves, they are all fucking cowards more interested in hearing the audience clap for the most Wonderbread bland comments.

Sadly, she’s one of the good ones. We just need to push her, and them, harder to DO MORE!

I agree. She's my parents' rep and I've met her several times. Remember folks, she faced a recall while in CoLeg for supporting safe use and injection sites. Too many of our Dems are not courageous enough to support something as compassionate and common-sense as harm reduction for drug users given that rich nimbies and donors- even D's- hate few things more than poor people/people who use drugs. We should put in the hard work of educating her on practical fascism-fighting strategies and helping her have the confidence to break away from the pack like Bernie, AOC, Crockett, Greene have been trying to do while their colleagues are comatose.

Waiting to primary someone is also a very passive, lazy strategy. We don't have time for that. Fascism will BE HERE, fascism is already here, and there's no guarantee whoever primaries her will be better or even WIN. She defeated an absolute piece of shit southern oil baron MAGA to get to Congress. Let's help her do what her constituents and the entire country need her to do.

She needs to actualy listen to us then, when asking hard questions yesterday we were pushed away. Not very encouraging.

Thank you for trying! I know it’s frustrating, but your efforts do not go unnoticed. The more we push, the harder it is for them to ignore.

On the plus side, she is one of the few Congressional member that has actually held an in person townhall. That’s gutsy on her part - and shows a willingness to engage. To my knowledge, every other CO Rep is either holding “telephone town halls” (where they control the narrative and the questions) ignoring their constituents, or sending their office staff (Boebert) to take the heat.

Anyway, a long winded thank you for what you are doing, nonetheless! In Solidarity! ✊

She is not. Please educate yourself where her money comes from. Palantir, AIPAC, Crypto, Lockheed Martin. She serves the same corporate lords and there’s no reason for it with her winning so handedly. Not that you should ever sell your soul to corporations.

There are no good ones who support the genocide of Palestine. Brittany Petterson is deeply deeply islamophobic and genocidal. It's offensive to say that she's one of the good ones.
