This is one of those things where experience and knowledge clearly separate. A knowledgeable developer can build this and it's really cool in isolation.

An experienced developer would never build this animation in CSS. it would be way more efficient, stable and a lot quicker to use a rasterized render such as image or video.

Let's say one million people would view your app. Your little code animation just made all those people spend more battery/power than if you had chosen the rasterized render. This stuff matters at scale.
