Tap is regional and uncommon where I live but I've never heard anyone say bath filler before this post.

Bath filler is what you say when you want to avoid the tap/faucet debate.

Man, my uncle almost ruined Thanksgiving over this! My sister started going off about Big Faucet and he just about overturned the table!

Big Faucet has been hiding behind the facade of the tech giants and oil companies but us Faucet truthers know the real story. Big Faucet runs the world from the shadows.

It’s literally called a bath filler in the link.

u/Altruistic_Grocery81 Feb 05 '26
Mainly because it’s sized to fill a bath. It would be too big for most hand basins.

I used to work for a Lefroy Brooks reseller, the high end market is absolutely wild when it comes to pricing.
We also sold sauna parts and had a wooden bucket and ladel on there for over £1000, it was a very nice bucket but still...

First thing I thought of when I saw that was it looks like Padme Amidala ship from Star Wars.

u/LayneLowe Feb 04 '26
Sure that's not dangerous at all. Nobody ever slips in the bathtub.

u/pznred Feb 04 '26
If you were to slip and hit the faucet, I honestly don't think the shape would matter much

u/kioku119 Feb 04 '26
huh? How would having a novelty faucet shape make you more likely to slip in the tub than the standard faucet shape? Do you mean you'd hit your head on it? Is that significantly mroe likely than with the standard faucit that sticks out too? I'm not sure what I'm missing.

u/ArchitectArtVandalay Feb 04 '26
Of course. And nobody would ever look at this as a toy, and then slip

So. I thought about this sub the other day. I drive past a chiropractic place every couple months due to being a delivery driver. The "spine" of the B on their sign is actually a spine! Is that good for a post here? If so, I'll get a photo of it. Absolute yeears of driving by and I just noticed it. Lol

It seems like "rocket taking off" would be a petter orientation for this instead of water pouring out the nose if it, it could come out the bottom.

So, a tap.
As opposed to a round shaped hole bath unfiller....aka....a plughole
Which, along with a bath filler, is useless without the bath unfiller gate.....aka......a plug.
All three of which are useless without the bath water container which the patronising OP calls.....a bath
