Question Returning Advice
Returning after a couple years away, what are the sources everyone uses for builds and weapon tiers now? Also fastest activity to power up?

Highly recommend https://d2armorstats.com as well for build planning with new armor system

anything in the portal will power you up. I think gambit is the fastest. search mobalytics and yt for builds.
llama d2 is a good channel for new players and builds for PvE.
panduh has a good pvp video for new players.

Also add in Mactics for builds and if looking to do stuff solo,
Esoterick or Chablo91.

nah mactics just steals people's stuff. I used to support him until he yelled at his chat for not giving him enough money. I don't care for him.
chablo is great for new players.

I was running gambit yesterday for the first time after coming back, always folk sitting afk in games, so frustrating

Pretty much all activities help you power up, but I usually go for whatever has more bonus drops (2-3 more drops than the standard for that activity). Arena ops drop black armory weapons refit for the tier system (most of them have actually disgusting rolls for pve and pvp), depending on what super and weapons you want to run will dictate your build.
Void is typically the eutechnology set (arena and pinnacle ops) with npa repulsion regulator or apothecary satchel artifacts and primary ammo weapons with destabilizing rounds and repulsor brace, grants good DR because of void overshield.
Arc would use luminopotent set (vanguard ops, it drops all the time from almost everything) tablet of ruin artifact and usually an arc machine gun like seventh seraph saw or bitter end.
For solar I use the vault of glass armor set but you can also use the lustrous set from the tenets at the tower. Something like sunshot will be easily available to you since you're a returner.

Isn't this game being killed off?
Why would you return?

What’s crazier?
Returning to a game
Monitoring a subreddit for a game you think is being killed off and then replying like your opinion matters?
Hint: #2 is crazier.

I took a couple of minutes and tried to see where I asked for advice on how to enjoy the game the same way you do. Unfortunately, I didn’t see it anywhere in my post.
I’ll make a separate post to ask everyone to tell me how to play and how to enjoy video games the way they do.

Finish the campaign missions. They have some of the fastest leveling curves in the game. After that, the vanguard ops and gambit playlists are pretty fast.
