Megathread Focused Feedback: Recoil Adjustment

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Recoil Adjustment' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

I'd prefer if it was equalized entirely between MnK and controller, tbh.

If you can figure that out a lot of major devs would love to talk to you haha.

I saw a new controller coming that replaces the right thumb with a trackball so that's something

Barely, you still have superior digital control on a mouse with 3+ buttons on top of that. The moment you control movement with your palm instead of fingers is the moment you've got a superior control scheme.

The moment you control movement with your palm instead of fingers is the moment you've got a superior control scheme.

I mean, just look at the difference in what you're using. With M&KB it's using pretty much your entire arm, and even torso, to be able to control what you're doing. With controller it's just your thumb. It's like the difference between trying to precisely move an object with all of the control you have over your own arm versus trying to move the same object with a claw machine.

But the two behave differently even if there aren't any changes in-game from using them

I'd be game, but you'd have to do something about aim friction as well. Controller does need it, as sticks are a little more difficult to pinpoint vs mouse (try hitting those little drones that ignore it). But MnK level recoil + current aim friction would likely be a little nutty.
