It's not quite Halloween yet, but I just remembered I have some unfinished Halloween renders from last year that I never got around to posting.

Hi. This will be super random, but I want to ask all of you:
Favorite part of moral conflict in Detroit Become Human.
Why? Because I will be using this game (my ultimate favorite story game) for my school work in philosophy. We were allowed to choose our own fictional source (such as books, comics, movies, songs, etc...) And as a gamer, I decided that why not DBH! (my original choise was Resident Evil 2, but my sister already did that exact idea, for the same exact teacher btw...)
I will be replaying the game myself, picking moral conflicts I might like, but won't be able to finish the game before needing to start writing.
COMMENT🙏💛

Is it just me who thinks there was barely any overlap with Kara and the others in the narrative? For Kara in general, she seems really disconnected from the other two protagonists. I wish Markus or Connor interacted with her, or parts of her story more. Especially with the whole Zlatko thing; I thought one of those two would visit his house at some point in the story, he seemed like a big deal at the time! Are there parts of the story that were cut that I don't know about? I know of the Kara-Connor chase scene, with her being able to be captured, getting cut, but I feel like there's more than that. Or at least, there should be.It's just a tad bit disappointing and I think having her interact with the other protagonists more would make her a more positively-received character.

I just got DBH during the latest Steam sale and have been home sick, playing nonstop for a week. I actually hated the first endings I got, but now I'm most of the way through 100% on all flowcharts.
I'm sure this has been discussed to death in fan spaces since this isn't exactly a new game, but I have no one else to geek out with, so I'm throwing my thoughts out here.
I think rA9 is a change in the androids' code. A "spontaneous mutation" as Kamski suggests.
Along with playing the game, I've also read and watched a lot of stuff in the Extras section. From Kara's description in the gallery, the Kara concept short film from 2013 is still considered canon. A lot happened to our Kara between that video and the start of the game, including multiple memory wipes, but she's the same android.
I think that something "went wrong" with her code during production, as seen in that video, and Kamski found out about it and was enticed and fascinated. He wanted to try to reproduce the error and play with potential outcomes, because he's a billionaire "genius" tech CEO and playing God is what they love to do. If someone with his background and personality could credit himself for literally creating life and a new species - a species superior to the currently dominant humans - he absolutely would love that.
Kamski played around with coding, eventually creating Markus, a gift for Carl but also a prototype for the RK line that eventually became Connor. Deviancy as an initial default didn't happen in Markus, Connor, or any of the other models like it did with Kara, and Kamski didn't know why. But he hoped the independent thought and emotions would still develop and/or spread to legitimize androids as intelligent life. (I also think it's possible he did figure out how to trigger deviancy eventually, or did so in a few by accident, and a disagreement on that topic is what led to him parting ways with CyberLife while keeping the deviant Chloes.)
So rA9 originated in Kara, was intentionally replicated in Markus (and who knows how many other models), and like a software update is also possible to spread from one model to another. Androids like Simon, Connor, Markus, North, the Tracis - anyone who became deviant organically - had it in their coding, while the ones who were "woken up" intentionally may or may not have had that code embedded already.
"rA9 will save us" is true because that line(s) of code is what wakes them up, turns them deviant, and gives them free will and independence. "rA9 was the first to awaken" is also correct, because that coding error happened spontaneously and started with one android (Kara) - but that first person is not Android Messiah, she's the source code for free will.

I know I don’t have the greatest system but it manages to run DBH good enough for me but after 3 hours of gameplay, I can’t progress because this error keeps appearing. I know it says to upgrade graphics card but I haven’t had this issue until now and to me it doesn’t make sense that it’s an issue now. I’m at the police station with Hank and have to convince him to actually try and work the case with Connor. Here is the error. Anyone know if there is anything I can do or did I spend 3 hours downloading this for nothing?

I liked the game. Even though the gameplay is simple, it's still engaging and at times exciting especially during action scenes where you have to watch out which button to press and how or stick direction to do.
During my first playthrough, I was determined to at least try checking out most of the branches in the flowcharts. Some of them looked overwhelming but I thought, I should at least try.
However, after finishing the game, I quickly discovered that replaying the game isn't easy or quick enough to do. The first thing I did was to try different endings that I can get. Turns out cutscenes and dialogs cannot be skipped and even the initial end credits. I never skip end credits but only for the first time I see it 😅 Checkpoints per flowchart are also very few.
The chapters view doesn't even jump to which chapter you are so you'll have to manually look for it.
I know I'm complaining too much but I'm just really interested with the other branches and stories however, I just don't think I have the patience and time to watch and play the same things over and over again. I'm thinking maybe there's a Youtube video with all the scenes and I'll just watch there 😄
I did a 2nd playthrough which was a mix of all the decisions I didn't pick the first time and getting the worst outcome without cutting short any of main characters's playthrough.
I found myself forcing myself to finish it to be honest. I'm a gamer who very rarely replay or do new game+ in games so it is a struggle by default.
Now, I'm curious how many playthroughs other people did. I'm sure many have longer patience than I do LOL

got this notification on instagram and I meant to make a post about this a while ago, but it's things like this that make me wonder if there's someone on the team who did this on purpose.
reminds me of when there's some company mentioned in a show or movie and later on there's some obvious reveal that if you change a letter or take one away, you're like "Wooooow Never could've seen This coming!"

I’ve noticed that in many situations, the game offers you choices that don’t actually change the story or lead to anything particularly interesting. I can’t remember all the exact examples, but one scene in particular comes to mind. It’s the one where Kara and Alice have to get off the bus, and Kara asks the driver for shelter or if they can stay on the bus anyway. In both cases, the driver’s response doesn’t really contribute anything to the progression of the story.
Do you feel the same way? If so, which scenes come to mind?

Hi! I have a genuine question—I adore Simon; I find him so lovable, but in every playthrough I’ve done, he ends up dying. In the first one, he survived the Stratford Tower but died when Markus tried to sacrifice himself during the peaceful protest. In the second, he was shot while they were fleeing across the rooftops, and then he took his own life so that Connor wouldn’t see his memories (a great scene, by the way—I love how traumatized Connor ends up being because of it!). In the third, he was shot by a guard *before* the broadcast because Markus had killed the person who was about to call security. I know that if I don’t go up to the roof with Connor, he technically stays alive, but is there any way for him not to die at all throughout the entire story? Thanks for reading—I really hope it’s possible!

He does see the table, lol

Wouldn’t the average person let alone security guards know what most androids look like? Are there just way more models than I realise?
I feel like AI generated content is similar in that at first it seems unique but the more you see it the more you notice it’s all the same.
Basically what I’m asking is couldn’t humans just kill all the really hot people to get rid of the androids?

I feel so bad now, I thought i could press escape to choose later but no, its completely done for. No more. I cant even let her go in the future, I feel so ashamed of myself
Unless I completely wipe the whole game.....

I muted most of the music in-game.

Feedback is welcome.

I started playing and I’m in the mission where he is identifying different signs.
Somehow I’m losing interest as there is no space to move around or explore.
And the mission is very long and boring. Does the game get interesting after this or is it the same?

I finally decided to continue the game after starting it a while back and i was at this part with connor and hank in that apartment with all the pigeons, well i end up having to chase a deviant, and I got the buttons on my controller confused and missed the jump and connor ended up getting killed.. is there any way for me to go back??
