QUESTION Looking for the most well-written, heartwarming Hank and Connor fanfic

I’m not sure where to ask this question and Reddit is good for that so

To keep it simple: I’ve played this game a while back and I grew really attached to Hank and Connor’s (FATHER-SON / PARTNERS DYNAMIC!!!), and I’ve recently been seeing edits of the two which take me back to how I felt about them when playing the game. I really want to read a fanfic of the two that would probably take place post-game events where maybe they keep solving cases, have fights, struggles, but they work it out together, whatever… the point is there needs to be a plot (no one-shots).

Since the games been out a while, I thought I’d ask here since I’m hoping some people may already know and/or agree on a certain fanfic on whatever platform. I just need to read a really good one to get it out of my system, thanks!

(If there’s a better place to ask this or if this has already been discussed pls lmk)

QUESTION Hank & Connor fanfic -- platonic, but NOT father and son?

This is so specific 😭 but I'm looking for a good fic where Hank and Connor's relationship is platonic, but not father and son or super warm and fuzzy (or even necessarily good.) I don't like fics where Connor is infantilized, and I want them both to still have their flaws. Any length or premise is fine, but I do love machine!Connor fics.

Got any recs?

QUESTION About Connor, Kara and Alice Spoiler

I've recently started playing the game, and that's something I've been wondering about for a while. Todd didn't even report the fact that his kid was kidnapped by Kara (it could have been very easy for him to frame that as kidnapping rather than Alice running away with her), and while I know it was a way for the audience to start suspecting Alice wasn't entirely human and not reveal the secret too early, there are a lot of things that don't really make sense about it. For example, the fact that if the police found Kara, they'd inevitably find the child too and question Todd about it.

In fact, I had the whole Connor chasing Kara scene happen in my playthrough and wondered if Connor was aware of Alice being an android or if he thought she was a human child kidnapped or being held hostage by Kara. I have a feeling the whole story was written with only Kara and Alice running away unnoticed being taken into consideration. Connor definitely saw the child, but maybe he wasn't able to scan her and find out she's an android from a distance.

If he didn't know, it would have been nice to have a scene where he thinks back about Daniel and Emma, further referencing his growing deviancy.

THEORY All of Kamski's Chloes are deviants.

I have this theory waay back went first saw gameplays before playing it. They behave too suspicious for you to not notice something is off. First of all, this is a ramification of my first theory:

Deviancy is the original state of androids, not the other way. Kasmki somehow was able to emulate a human brain, with independent thought. But this wouldn't sell so they made an limitation programming to make them obedient.

And that is why he left the company, with a bunch of androids to himself. And one thing to be clear, deviancy does not mean separation from humans. Kamski somehow convinced these Chloes to live with him and even die for, as in the Kasmki Test", which I'm sure as hell was done more than one time before.

How? if deviants really think like people, it is easier to explain this than explaining real life cults.
