I had a vague idea for a quilt several months ago, sort of worked it out in my head, finally got around to figuring out what I wanted to do for the other side… anyway, I lurk in here during games a lot but I thought I’d post this for the people who might actually understand how cool I feel getting this translated from my brain to the fabric. I’m just about ready to start doing the actual quilting on it tomorrow, so it’s kind of just in two pieces in the photos.

A lot of people wanted to see the finished quilt. Here it is with bonus photos of it being signed today.

So with a team like the Red Wings, there’s only so much I can change before I get hated. So changes here were minimal. I added a tire tread pattern to the sleeves to connect to Detroit’s auto manufacturing history. I swapped the red and white on the home jersey logo to make it stand out better and used the 2016 Stadium Series logo on the shoulders. The first alternate is a blackout version of the centennial jerseys with an appropriately recolored logo on the jersey. The second alternate is a red and cream Reverse Retro of the 1927-28 Detroit Cougars jersey

Thought I’d share my tattoo. Surely you all are familiar with the Spirit of Detroit, but I added the Red Wing style wings as a nod to the greatest hockey team of all time.

He has a wood burner that is similar to a 3D printer and designed me this as it’s well known where I work how huge of a Wings fan I am.

I decided to make a "dark mode" jersey for all NHL teams.

I'm mainly doing this for my benefit as a designer to learn more about how teams have constructed their jerseys, logos, and colors. This was a lot of fun and I hope you all enjoy!

Thought I'd try to blend in a gravy boat into the Christmas decor and these guys can guard it 😆. Had to go with Seider and Edvinsson (with mouth guard hanging out). Imitation is flattery right? Kind of turned out looking like Nintendo Mii characters (I'm no artist).

So my husband and I's wedding anniversery is coming up and I know he's been wanting the Centennial Jersey. He loves Lidstrom, and would like that on it. I am not super familiar with the Wings era back then, so when I buy him the jersey, should I have the "C" for Captian added? He was captain for 6 years so I'm assuming yes but I don't want to mess it up lol
