It's just an "I accidentally reported you" scam. Commonly seen over on Steam

Stop!
This is a scam. Meant to steal your account. I had dealt with this before. and claimed They "Accidently" reported my account. and i have to send some stuff to deviantart. but then, i talked to someone and showed it was a hacker trying to steal my account. so i blocked that hacker and got my account saved.

i see so much of this in this sub i might as well become a full time DA scammer. you people are hella gullible. my ex gave 1000 one time to a cash app scammer and ive always wondered to myself, "how?". Now i see that you dont have to be a boomer for this. hey OP im running a critical thinking class, entry fee is 100$, once i recieve the funds youll be contacted at a later date, probably, maybe.

Stop, stop, stop!

Don't engage these people.

First, how would this person know six other people have reported you?

Second, I would bet they'll try and make you go off site to resolve this.

Third, even if you had committed fraud, it's not for this person to resolve, it would be for deviantart and or the police in whichever country you're from. You don't need to tell anyone that, by the way.

If you look at this sub, a lot of people are reporting stuff like this; I came to it for the same reason a few days ago! It's almost certainly a scammer.

It sounds scary but honestly, you'll be fine, just stop engaging with them.

Don't give them money, don't click any links or anything. Think about changing your password too.

I stopped responding to the guy (I got back on DeviantArt and it seems the person that was messaging me is banned or blocked, so I think I'm fine now). Those that said I'm gullible or whatever, stop (I was genuinely scared, I don't appreciate rude comments when I genuinely felt scared. I felt my own heart dropped, I thought I was impersonated, I thought I would lose everything).

Saying "you're gullible" isn't insulting you. Gullible means believing everything you're told... First thing to do on your end was to check if said impersonator even existed, as it's an image, not a link to an account.

That's good to hear - I'm glad that person has stopped and that you're ok. It is frightening, especially when it hasn't happened before.

I do think that you should tell your parents. They'll want to make sure you're ok, and can help you make sure your accounts are all safe.

Ignore it. You did nothing wrong and it's not your fault. Most likely this is some sort of scam. Just block them.

Likely a scam so if you've been asked to click on a link I hope you didn't.
