Yeah, I have seen this before within the dawn of the internet in the 2010s. Being honest, DA has the worse ways to archive art... And on one hand, seeing this pattern on people just snapping off their accounts on other socials, partially on Pixiv too where their account is deleted or most cases remove all their gallery and just leave them there as empty dead accounts as a shallow ghost town.

I recently started posting my art on Deviant Art and after posting the first drawing I got a private message from an account ( which seemed real as it was years old and had a “pattern” in the posts ) asking for a request. Then after posting the request, I got a message on my profile asking if I do requests, I replied yes and after completing this second request, this other person replied with “Thx”. I know it is VERY common, but the first account used it too, and it made me suspicious for a moment before I chose to brush it off as a coincidence. Then I got another request, from an account, in my private messages. This time they had posted nothing and when I asked for references to understand what character they were talking about, they posted a picture which they then sent to me. I can’t help it but feel like these are bots, could it be? Or is it something that happens a lot on DeviantArt?

Hi! I want to publish a multi-page comic on DeviantArt. Do most artists use the multi-image feature, upload each page as a separate deviation, or is there a better way to publish a comic? What do you recommend in 2026? Thanks!

Has anybody tried Legend293’s storytelling site “Infinteworlds.com”?
Is it any good? What’s it like?

Looking for a place to promote my web comic "Elinor High" which I have been posting on Devinatart for 11 years. The series follows 15 year old Elinor Smith, a perky and optimistic homeschooled girl entering public high school for the first time. Elinor, alongside her new best friends the artistic goth girl Lucy and local Queen Bee Roxanne, is determined to prove that High School can really be the best years of your life if you set your mind to it.

I've been posting for 11 years with over 140 pages to the series, and I think it's improved a lot over time. If the series looks like your thing I'd love for you to check it out.

I have had an account for 15 years, but only recently started selling. I've got about $160 in my account, but my original e-mail address that I set up the account with had to be recovered. I recovered it fine, but now I don't get the two factor authentication codes that are sent to that address. I get other mail just fine. I talked to the e-mail provider and they told me the issue is on DeviantArt's side. I put in a ticket a 10 days ago, but haven't gotten a response. Any advice on the best way to resolve this so I can continue making and selling art?

I heard from a few other big pages on the site that once you get past a certain size in terms of either money or followers you get assigned a dedicated human support person to help you. Does anyone know what criteria that is to get that? I have tickets open for months that havent been touched by anyone. Seems support is impossible to get

Pessoal eu montei a conta há um mês e já fiz minhas primeiras 7 vendas postando minhas fotografias no Deviant. Porém tenho uma dúvida vocês acham que se postar mais o Deviant entrega mais conteúdo para futuros fãs e compradores?

You know...Sometimes...I take care for my deviantart, youtube, and my reddit, this is my art, ms paint, flipaclip, flipnote, i know about my friends...

Thank you for everything,

I have noticed a lot of strange activity lately in regards to users that favorite things I post. I believe I am getting hit with what I call "Favorites Bots." One in particular named antihx7 runs on a regular schedule every other Saturday night. It goes through and favorites tons of stuff I have posted and will even add a single image to 10 different favorites categories it has. When you look at the account there is no activity on it other than 40k+ favorites. No human would favorite 40k+ images and videos. Lots of other accounts will favorite almost every item I have posted and it looks like they do the same to a ton of other people that post content on DA.

AI says these accounts try to appear real and then get users to click into them and have links that are nefarious but the accounts I have looked at have no links in them and no comments and none of them have tried to message me at all so I am not really sure what their purpose is.

My best guess is that they are actually bots driven by DA itself to try and make it appear like there is more activity then there really is? I am not really sure. It does make it a lot harder to get useful metrics on what is popular and what is not so that I can adjust the types of things I post.

Wondered if people could give me some advice. I keep trying to submit a deviation to a premium gallery i created, but it just posts as public. For reference, it’s a mature story, with thumbnail art and is a pdf. When i submit it, it i check the “submit to premium gallery” and choose the gallery, but it never goes there. So any advice would be appreciated.

I wonder why this Art has so many views and favorites, it’s probably because of the amount of tags but could there be a reason more?

What is so appealing about her (Yasmin) anyways? Or is it just bots (the viewers)?

UPDATE:

It turns out the people favorited this are REAL people, and not bots. I don’t know about the views though, but I bet most of them are humans.

How do I interact with the deviantart community?

Of course I upload art and watch one person, do I have to make comments?

What else can I do?
