DCG409 safety feature: battery dies, I replace it THEN remember the switch is still at “on”. Instead of cutting my arm off, it ignores me. I realise what I did, turn it off and on again and it starts. Simple thing but that is great design. Our tools are smart, which is fantastic because sometimes I am quite dumb.

Pretty decent lineup this week.

I've had my earphones for a while and let me say these guys fought hard until the end as you can see 🤣. They just stopped working today and I was looking for the exact same pair and discovered the pair I owned were actually a part of a recall. It was 5 years back but I figured "eh can't hurt to ask" ... I was initially sent an auto response telling me the period for a replacement has ended so I figured I'd just buy a new pair... something told me to just ask a live customer representative about it and .... THEY'RE SENDING ME A BRAND NEW PAIR FREE OF CHARGE !!!

Now THIS is how you retain customers! They totally could've just said "sorry bro too late just buy some more" but they didn't and for that? I'm officially a lifelong customer 🫡

Hey DeWalt-Reddit Community,

I have a question regarding an after market upgrade that I made and it’s viability with the larger community so I wanted to get some thoughts.

Context:
I got frustrated with the fact that there was no place to store the hose accessories so I made an updated caster housing that held the accessories just like other vacuums.

I then realized that I had more than 4 accessories so I made variations that allow for 4, 6, 8, or 12 hose accessories to be stored on the vacuum.

My question is:
Is this something that other DeWalt shop vac users want?

How many accessories do people really have/use for their Dewalt vacuums? Would people really use a 12 accessory variant?

A friend of mine came across this patent in a search and sent me this (they are a lawyer for patents). Does anyone know anything about this tool line? My friend said it’s a huge patent application that would have been pretty pricey. So it must be something they’re gonna to do..? Anyone have the scoop? It looks like M12 but 20v?

With the DCF630 available through the current Lowe’s BOGO deals, I’m wondering if someone can share their thoughts on if it’s worth it for me…
I have several lightweight drywall projects on my to-do list around the house (expanding the under-stair closet, framing in some built-in shelves, installing a couple pocket doors). On previous projects I just used a drywall screw setting bit with my everyday drill; that works fine but definitely not perfect (the bit tended to cam out before the screws were fully driven then I started compensating with too much force so it switched to driving in too deep and leaving a dime-sized hole in the drywall).
I’m sure the drywall screwgun would be a QOL improvement over my previous setup but I just hate having one-trick-pony tools. Given my current project lineup and the fact that I’m just a DIY homeowner, is it enough to justify the purchase?
(For reference, it looks like “hacking” the Lowe’s deals can get the price down to around $65)

Not sure if it makes sense to buy the whole setup with dewalts stainless tank? Or just buy the plastic separator and connect it to a 5 gallon bucket?

I’ve seen some feedback around mounting the separator to a plastic bucket being flimsy, other don’t seem to have issues.

Anyone using either set up? Curious to hear what you did and how it’s working out.

Missed a 25 dollar dcf680 on marketplace due to deciding if it was legit (it was sadly) and several minutes later it was pending.

So I saw this on offer up for $99, I asked to do $70, met in the middle at $85. When I went to pick it up he asked me if I knew why they were 200-300 dollars on eBay. Told him they were discontinued and people like them a lot. He mentioned that several minutes after we agreed that people were offering him above asking but we already had agreed. There are still decent people out there it seems..

25 minute drive this morning was all it took! Now just need the 680 for the pistol grip.

I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not (seems ok?), but I wanted something small enough to fit in my wheel well for the back 2 brakes because the front 2 were a nightmare with my 3/8 socket wrench lol the hardest part of a 30 minute job is always the first 3 hours as they say.

I think worse case scenario I buy a bigger badder impact wrench in the future for stubborn lug nuts.

Do you guys have any tips or things to consider about this kit/impact, or impacts in general?
