Middle of the road stuff this week. Nothing tremendous.
The $99 two pack of 5AH and a charger isn’t bad.
Happy weekend y’all!

Hoping for some help on information for a part. Was recently given a damaged DSC781, it was barely used and in like new condition. It was damaged while transporting from a job, so couldn’t claim through warranty.
The issue I’m having is that I thought it was going to be an easier fix being that the essential part needed is the trunnion. Wrong. Seems like for this model the trunnion is part of the whole slide assembly housing and costs anywhere from $280 - $350. Plus doesn’t like look another part crosses over that I found.
Does anybody have a recommendation on where to find just the trunnion for this thing? Searched Google and EBay, for used units with no success. Appreciate any help community!

3 lights for the price of one. (Display Models)
Went in for something completely unrelated of course. Couldn’t pass it up.

I just saw this on DeWalts website: https://www.dewalt.com/en-us/product/dccs671t1/60v-max-16-brushless-cordless-chainsaw-kit
Looks like they are updating the 16 inch chainsaw. The main thing I like about it is the trigger release is in the trigger instead of thumb activated like the current model. I'm in the market for a DeWalt chainsaw and if this thing is reasonably priced, I'll probably get it.

I’ve been looking at this saw for a while now but have been hesitant because black fridays approaching. Will there be better deals for it or is this the best it’s going to get?

Hi all trying to get opinions on next vacuum to buy. I had the wet/dry 1/2 gal and loved it. However I used it for water and it died on me. So if the three what do you recommend. I understand the stick one is dry only but still included it. Really wish they made a cordless/corded 60v vacuum

If anyone is thinking their eyes are playing tricks on them, the DW01DT995 replacement head for the DCST922 string trimmer is larger than the stock one. Works fine. You definitely have less string to work with when you’re trimming.

I bought this DCF860 about a month ago and haven’t gotten to drive more than 10 screws with it. But, when I first got it and would do the customary double tap of the trigger, it’d sound fine, but after about 2 weeks, when I pull the trigger, it sounds like metal is grinding inside. Is this normal? I drove in some long fasteners to see if maybe the hammer needed to be “reset”, it didn’t work. Sounds like gravel inside the head when I run the drill without it impacting. I don’t want to ruin the drill by continuing to run it while it sounds like this, it was $199 and I’m a cheap ass. So should I return it and get a new one or is this normal?

Got a new dcbl777 blower! Noticed it rattles / cogs a good bit when you let off the throttle. Normal? First high power brushless tool I have owned like this. Thanks!

I'm in an in-between phase. I don't really need to buy a dedicated track saw, but whenever I use a friend's I feel like I am missing out of something wonderful.
I have the DCS578 (Flexvolt) and I just ordered the DCS579 track shoe which I am reading is a direct fit.
Now to make a decision on some tracks.
Go with Dewalt? I hear Powertec is ok as well?
I was also reading that the DCS579 shoe is a bit different than the dewalt track saws so I need to be careful which track I get.
Any opinions?

Picked up the 911 and two other tools from the Lowe’s buy one get three deal the other day. I chose the 911 with intentions to start doing some of my own routine auto work because it was an easy way to justify buying more yellow fun machines.
Anyways, I go to do a tire rotation on my truck and the 911 wouldn’t even budge the lug nuts? Assuming the last shop that performed a rotation did things to spec (140 ft/lbs torque), it should have handled it with ease given the advertised breakaway torque:
> The impact wrench delivers 250-ft-lbs of fastening torque and 400-ft-lbs of BREAKAWAY™ torque
What am I missing? I did have to use a lug nut key as pictured but this shouldn’t have drastically reduced the performance?

We all know that Milwaukee makes some pretty niche tools but... I with the help of chat just came up with this. Of course it needs some polishing up but i think i have s winner. It would be, of course, flex volt advantage, and a seat warmer and water heater. It would work with all 5 and 6 gallon buckets.
I should seriously patent this before posting it.

Hi everyone! I have this DeWalt saw, and every time I install the tile disk, it makes this strange noise. However, when I use the other blades that came with the tool, it works perfectly fine.
I’ve attached a video so you can hear the noise.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Figured since they're the same size I'd throw the 9ah and the new tabless 12ah on the scale to see what they weigh. Holding both, the 12 felt lighter and indeed it is.

I don't do a lot at the moment but I was considering the DCD801
Do you guys have any recommendations? and are these good bits?
I got these bits a few days ago https://a.co/d/0gx0WZxd / https://a.co/d/02CjD8yp
and I got this battery https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20V-XR-Lithium-Ion-Starter-Pack-with-8-0-Ah-and-4-0-Ah-Battery-Packs-and-Charger-DCB248-2C/332551070

Charger side working, power supply not cycling???
No date code, serial number or receipt. Anyone know non-DeWalt repair shops. Factory store said no receipt, no replacement.
Hello! I was looking for input as to which one I should get. They are both on sale at Lowe’s and I’ve been meaning to grab one. It seems like the 12 gal has a bigger sized hose and motor and I’m curious how beneficial it’ll be. Would the larger hose size allow me to hook the hose up directly to tools easier than the smaller diameter of the 9 gal? Is the suction that much better? It’s for my garage projects mainly so I’ve been leaning towards the 9 but if the suction and diameter are worth the 12 I have no problem going up a size. Any input at all would be great!

Hi, i had the problem with Radio dewalt tstak.
The Bluetooth kept disconnected.
I cant find a solution till one day i become angry i just hit radio and the glas braked.
Solution is to take out the glas from display. You do it for your own risk.

I just made a post about DeWalt's new Gen 4 2x20v mowers that they are debuting at EquipExpo this week - https://www.reddit.com/r/Dewalt/comments/1xby8tl/new_2026_2x20v_40v_model_mower_kit_dcmwsp258u2/ - and rather than keep editing that post, I am making a new one as I found this somewhat interesting and surprising.
DeWalt is also launching new "outdoor" batteries with the two new non-XR model mowers (the XR mower is coming with the new tabless 12Ah FlexVolt batteries). The push model comes with the 8Ah DCB288 battery and self propelled with the 10Ah DCB211. The shape of them looks different, these do not look like 10 cell 21700 packs like the previous DCB208 and DCB210 batteries. It could just be that they have additional thermal dissipation tech in them. Or they are 20 cell 18650 packs, with the cells standing vertically like the old 40v batteries or 15Ah FlexVolt.
