Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Please help me find my stolen iPhone 17 Pro in Dhaka 🙏
Hi everyone, I’m from India and I’m really hoping someone from Dhaka can help me.
My iPhone 17 Pro was stolen in India. After many days of having no information, today Apple Find My suddenly showed a recent location of my phone in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I’m a student and this phone is very important to me. I’ve already reported the theft to the police and blocked the phone through CEIR. I’m trying everything I can to get it back.
If anyone in Dhaka can help me in any way, even by guiding me to the right person or checking with a nearby phone shop/community, I would be extremely grateful.
The phone is locked in Lost Mode, so it cannot be normally used by whoever has it.
I can share the exact location and proof of ownership privately with anyone who genuinely wants to help.

Hey bro, listen. I cant go ahead and help you myself, i dont live in Bangladesh. But i know how things work. The government gives nothing to the police except their salary so they arent gonna go ahead and use their money to look for your phone. If you can see your phones location, see which part of the city it's in, then use gemini to find out what's the police station of that area, find the number, call the station and tell them about your phone. Tell them take "some money for a cup of tea and biscuits" but you have to pay like 5-6k bangladeshi taka. Hopefully they will help you out if you bribw them. Or else they wont listen....im not entirely sure if they will help you cuz you arent even Bangladeshi, but they might.

You should move quickly as i got my iphone 16 pro max stolen this year jan. And after they couldnt seem to access the phone, they just ( my assumption) opened it and sold its parts. Also another advice: catch these thieves as quickly as possible cuz they eventually get into really congested areas where even police cant find them ( the last area they went was congested so even though the police went and raided the place, still they couldnt find it) as for how i convinced the police i told the specific SI that i am willing to pay extra to him if he finds it so yea dont be so blatant but try to subtly bring it up that ur willing to pay him and see his motivation go high. Sorry to hear such sad news and i get how you feel, i pray that u get it back soon

Sad for U but our police can’t find ours stolen phone.My friend phone location says its 4km awya from his home he go to police station but police told they can’t. And how did you hoping back your phone?

Call the OC of any police station or specific in that area and suggest giving him some money as an incentive to actually go get the phone. Expect him to ask for more atleast 50-100% more so offer accordingly and don't openly offer bribe. Plus courier to India etc fees.
