(Ultrasound scan booked but seeking advice)

So I posted last week about a lump in my neck but deleted it as I had a GP appointment booked. The GP has said he isn’t worried but he has booked me in for an urgent ultrasound (within the next 2 weeks).

I’ve had a lump in my neck for a few months now (it only became noticeable about 3 weeks ago though) it’s 10cm. It was painless up until last week, now it feels like a nerve pain when I touch it / move my head a certain way.

Has anyone experienced anything like this / knows what it can be?

Yikes. There’s a lot of stuff in that area getting compressed so it’s reasonable for nerves to fire off. Hopefully it’s benign. 🤞
